Zophia poked me to make a thread. I know this will die off quickly, but I guess I could just show off some work in progress, and what I have managed to do by combining MsPaint and GIMP.

The first one is the outline. It is done in MsPaint, since GIMP was acting up.

The next two is the coloured result, both coloured in GIMP (It was acting okay again)
The difference is the outline. The upper one is with the original outline:

With this one I copied the outline and blured it. So the original outline is on top, the next layer is blured, and then the colour come:

The last one here is what I will think of as the conclusion. A gradient layer from GIMP, smudged out and adjusted, again with the smudge tool. The lazy solution, I know.

Work in progress, right? I do not know if I am going to make it any better.

I wonder what the average rate of views is on DA. On my old account I created it back in 2005 and didn't post in it substantially until 2006 or so, and as a result it took over a year and a half to get 1000 pageviews (a standardised benchmark). On the new one though, which I created in...hm...probably September? I've been submitting at a fairly steady rate so I've got 53 pieces in there and just got the 1000th pageview today, which seems to be about standard for somebody who only posts and never joins the forums or actively networks. I don't even get around to thanking people who fave my stuff.

I think it largely depends on your activity and degree of networking as I have seen people who post frankly substandard (in terms of technique) submissions with thousands of pageviews because they are a member of 219587243987 clubs. Or those who only "submit" works done by others for them (which each hosting site occasionally cracks down upon). Or those who only nominate favorites and leave an empty gallery. Then of course if you so happen to get a Daily feature that will generally bring the fans flocking in their thousands and suddenly your style will become canon.

To draw an AG equivalent, the socialites tend to have more points here than earnest forumgoers not just because of the difference in scoring.

If so, I'm sure Nerg and Kai would get along just fine.

Fun fact because you seem to always do it when referencing to your species: Nergyl children rarely live as long as they can, and their whole purpose was to actually kill all living beings, while as they are more of a self-slaughterer nowadays. Sad, isn't it?

@Strop: I know... But, well... Randomly being proud of at least one of the newer pictures (mainly refering to your sketch that got colour) but... The newest submission have been commented by Thoad, and no other, so I guess I am just going down.
Just like on FA, where you can draw like a 2yearold and still get plenty of fans if you just describe it as porn, but if you do a decent job, and it isn't porn, well, only your watchers *might* comment > >
I guess that is a fair reason for feeling insecure about my abilities with a tablet or even just paper...

@Thoad: I tthink they would kill each other. Still pretty sure Nerg is lawful evil, not chaotic, and lawful and chaotic is not really the best of friends...

Speaking of which, lemme speculate on the various characters in the MWT and their alignments...

Kai: Chaotic Neutral
Cenere: Lawful good
Nerg: I'm with Cenere on this- lawful evil
Strop: Lawful good (strongly!)
Orlestat: True neutral (perhaps leaning towards neutral evil)
Sasquatch: Chaotic neutral (after some deliberation, I'm not sure)
Yeti: Lawful neutral (a little good for keeping Sas in check!)
Dingsly: Lawful neutral
Ezale: True neutral
Xzeno: Lawful neutral (lawful according to the brief)
Azu: Chaotic evil (as briefed to me by Klaus)
Phill: Chaotic neutral (doesn't follow rules, so says Strop, but seems an alright character)
Bob: Lawful neutral (keeping Phill in check)
Hallow: Neutral/lawful good

Deliari, Billy, Charlie, Pazx, Garrow...hm, didn't get enough exposure!

...you know what? Somebody oughtta fill out a grid for this stuff! Then we could play pin the tail on the donkey or something...That would be fun.

But I can't do it as I don't have the time.

Oo.. He calls her Dragling, and have done so for... Very long? Even though she is not a -ling anymore~
And I think so, but maybe not? Depends if she follows him, when he leaves her?
