Zophia poked me to make a thread. I know this will die off quickly, but I guess I could just show off some work in progress, and what I have managed to do by combining MsPaint and GIMP.

The first one is the outline. It is done in MsPaint, since GIMP was acting up.

The next two is the coloured result, both coloured in GIMP (It was acting okay again)
The difference is the outline. The upper one is with the original outline:

With this one I copied the outline and blured it. So the original outline is on top, the next layer is blured, and then the colour come:

The last one here is what I will think of as the conclusion. A gradient layer from GIMP, smudged out and adjusted, again with the smudge tool. The lazy solution, I know.

Work in progress, right? I do not know if I am going to make it any better.

Heavy rain washed the streets. Most citizens were at home, sitting by the fireplace, keeping warm. Some, those who had a family or did not live alone told stories to their room mates, or had informal discussions. Some told about their day, or listened to someone else telling about what he or she had done that day.
Other were at the Inn, discussing or arguing, which at this time of day were basically the same.
A rare few were still working, the police standing outside in the rain, the inn keeper, the thieves.

In the library the young apprentice were still working. The elderly librarian had left nearly two hours before, leaving the young man to get the books back on their place on the shelves. It was heavy work, but had to be done before the library opened tomorrow, and he did not really want to get out of bed at six just to get the work done.
He ruffled his hair in a frustrated way, finding another ripped page in a book about sexuality. What made them be this evil to books, he wondered. He placed the damaged book on the table, and took another stack of misplaced books, sighing.
The young apprentice began climbing up a ladder, loose hair falling down in his eyes, and more threatened to losen from the short ponytail.

Rapidash and ponyta. Because I need to get some of the poke-steam out. The If Pokemon actally Existed thread is doing two things to me. I want to play/watch/draw pokemon, and I want to roar at the people, who tend to ignore me in it.

Another Rapidash.

This is from one of the pokemon mangas, as I remember the one that is slightly based on the series.
I only did the colours, so I hope it is still okay.

*blinkblink*
As for the last one, I just cut of the rest. I just wondered if I could make it right, but I have others (that you will never see) that are better.
