who thinks communism is good, bad , or misunderstood?
i think communism was currupt by that monster Stalin an therefore, it became hard for that form of government to be truely used as Marx had intended it.

The examples of communism today are interesting because the idea of a communist dictatorship is an oxymoron. In order to actually have a communist government, there would be no government, but that vision is imperfect, because who distributes the wealth if there is no government? Communism is about equality, and equality must be enforced.
Essentially, to have actual Communism, the wealth would already have to be distributed, which defeats the original purpose.

Communism doesn't call for a dictatorship.

Communism is about equality, and equality must be enforced.

It will be through the proletariat, it does not require a state.

Ehh? The wealth WILL be redistributed?

From the way I see it, Humptey is saying that the EXAMPLES are of a dictatorship.
I think that you misunderstand that...

Communism is about equality, and equality must be enforced.

Well, that's kind of strange...

If human experience has told us right, people don't truly want equality. They want to be on top, to be "right." In a sense, Communism puts everyone on top, but with no bottom, a physical impossibility.

People will struggle for equality but not to be on 'top'. It is not the dream of the average person to dominate the world.

People strive to be equal among the others. The lower classes will always want to have with the others have. The problem is that it is not of the top's values to have everyone equal.

Well, if you're done bickering about dictators and a stateless state, Lenin introduced Democratic Centralism, a form of communism with democracy involved. In my eyes, communism with democracy is a nice mixture!

Karl Marx died in an arm-chair in England.

The problem with democratic socialism is that it does not have the vanguard to guide it through to communism. It would easily resort back to capitalism as the rich would take power.

The problem with democratic socialism

No I said Democatic Centralism, a democratic form of leninism that involves a single leader and members of the party, but with the people's voice helping out.

There's a difference between theory, and a difference between reality. If you're into Russian humor, here's a Radio Yerevan (Armenia) joke that really illustrates this:

Question: What will be the results of the next election?

Answer: Nobody can tell. Somebody has stolen yesterday the exact results of the next elections from the office of the Central Committee of the USSR.

There's a difference between bailing them out and directly controlling them.
