No, that is ridiculous.
You mess up in a plane, you go doun.
You mess up in a car, 7 people go down.

You mess up in a plane, you have 3,000 feet to catch yourself
You mess up in a car well...

Your engine fails in a plane, you glide to earth.
Your engine fails on earth you crash.

Anybody can get a licence, but a pilot's licence takes hours of flight time.

In a car, there is no control tower...

i think a plane is more dangerous because there are more people you cant stop wrecking and all you have is a seatbelt and a breathing thing. In a car front seats have air bags and back seats have the soft coushin behind them and the seat in front of them.

There is less traffic in the air. Probability of a crash is low, but when there is a crash it is almost always fatal. Airbags won't help you.
Once again: Probability of a crash is low!

Well statistically speaking a car is a lot more dangerous then a plane because there have been reported way less airplane crashes on a plane then a car. Also when was the last time you heard about a crash on an airplane? When was the last time you heard about a crash on a car. Probably yesterday. So basically my point is that a car is way more dangerous then an airplane.

Not even for the envionment. Planes all over only contribute 2% of all gas emmitions worldwide.
Check out the ask the pilot section of salon.com. Not going to bother with the link.

Wow, thats a really cool fact. If only they would built a plane version of a car. That would just be awesome, and it would really help the enviroment.

No, planes use less fuel only because they don't have ground friction and never stop and can take a direct route.
I think it floating cars is cool, but improbable

I believe there are actually statistics that state that planes are safer than cars.

Doesn't gliding back to Earth after engine failure kinda need those hours of training? And engine failure with a car is nothing, a little stalling = pull over

It does, but like above:
If something happens in a plane, you have 3000 ft. In a car you have none.

Yeah but you never hear about a plane that stops itself from crashing they always crash when something happens.

A plan is of couse safer, less trafic, never crashes(not many). And to show how little there are of plane crashes, they made a movie about 1.(Marshall)Never see a car crash movie now do u?NO.But when there is a crash the % of people killed is much higher.

Oh yeah. I fly planes, but am too young to drive a car. That should tell you something.

Ya but a plane dos'nt really glide down dose it? I belive the plane is more of a threat because u could crash onto houses and kill many people within the plane or not. A car still is a threat but it is not as big of a thread in ways that a plane is.

A plane can 'glide' but it's very hard to make it do that, and anyways, I'm afraid of planes so even if it is safer I would rather take a car, but it is kinda true, I now think planes may be safer
