well... to say the truth... the chances of having an accident are bigger with a car since there is traffic and many other reasons BUT... if there is an accident the chances of surviving it in a car are better then a plane. i hope that didnt scare anyone but i had to point that out
i have more fear of being in a plane crash more then a car crash as i will probably have less chance of survival on a plane crash if any at all
Purely depends on the course of the crash, and how competent the pilot is. To put it further: A lot of planes land because there is something minor wrong, and they want to fix this, even if it has no effect on how the flight will go. Just to be sure it is all safe. A lot of car owners will have their licence taken away, speed on a wet road, ignore winter tires during the winter because there is no snow, ignore winter tires even if there is snow, drive drunk, drive high, drive while updating facebook on their smartphone, drive while texting, drive while calling someone, and so on.
Anyway, locking this because this is an evergoing thread of opinions, even after the facts have been stated. It has come to "I feel more safe in..." rather than "Which is...", and the real topic has been answered a long time ago.
