The topic says it all. I don't think that it's right. Especially last year when a lot of atheists complained about Christmas trees being called Christmas trees. How stupid is that?
I posted the first when cencere was still writing his so i didnt know well he wrote it lol and ya mabey it died but im pretty religious and i've never heard of it
Yeah, I figured you might have been ninja'd, but you could still have tried to add a bit more to your post, or at least apologizing for double posting. :P
Are we out of people arguing that atheists shouldn't be allowed to celebrate Christmas?

sorry lol and um yes i think i feel bad for anyone who comes in now
it's ok but they have to celebrate it for the right reasons and taey have to respect that we in america (is it a problem innn denmark?sorry if i got the wrong country) can say merry christmas and it is a christmas tree but we have to respect that it's as much their right to celebrate it?sounds good?
Christmas is not all about Christ anymore. It is about hanging with your family, being with your folks, friends, relatives, Bf/Gf, whichever, sharing the good times, and sitting with each other by a warm fire and relaxing, while enjoying a generous number of days off.
I laughed at this for about 5 minutes, because it is (once again) another religious Atheist/Christian battle that is enjoyable to watch, and that IT IS NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING YET and you guys are already bringing the holiday up. Be patient children, it will come sooner or later; the sooner Christmas is over, the sooner you guys will want warm temperatures. Chill out about our religious beliefs, Christmas has more than 1 meaning. If I see another fight about this nonsense here, I will refer this to a moderator, so be good children ok?

Excuse me?really there was no point to that post most of that has either already been said or is based on your opinions and your telling us to listen to and agree with

Does American atheists normally have a problem with people saying merry Christmas? The phrase we use in Denmark can be translated to 'happy/jolly/merry Yule'... And what is it with the tree anyway? That tradition is a relatively new one, and what does it have to do with Christ? But yes, sounds good.
read any of the last couple of pages so i don't have to repeat all of it
I've read this whole thread. I do not understand your point of view - not saying it is necessarily wrong, but you have not presented it in a way where I can relate to it. What have you got against the non-religious side of the celebration?
Not really telling, more or less advising. I just don't want another religious thread to turn into a flame thread, and I especially don't want it to end up about Christmas itself. Just about all of them do, so I really don't want it to happen. I already had to break up 3 in the past month, really don't want to do it again.
About that whole thread, I just summarized the main point of Christmas, I really didn't see all of my post scattered throughout the entire thread, so I don't know what you're talking about. I bet you guys in the next 2 years or so, they are going to talk about Christmas during Halloween. I will give you 20,000 Yen for it.
Santa Claus, Saint Nicholaus, Herr Frost, Julemanden, and so on... I like Father Christmas more than saying "Santa"... The expression is older, and is not connected to coca cola.
