In these troubling times we see in the news that more and more people are losing their jobs. Hence, we see a rise in criminal activity. There was a news article that just recently caught my attention in the Wall Street Journal, âBusinesses Say Theft by Their Workers Is Up.â Here is the link to the article if you wish to see it, just copy and paste it in your search bar:
Stealling is against the law is wrong the state have a lot of ways to find you a job, food and clothes.
Clearly you have no idea what this thread is about. Had you actually read the OP and some of the comments, than you would be able to submit an intelligent answer.
I believe that if you are stealing entirely on the basis of survival, than it is okay, as that is human nature. As long as you only steal the bear minimum, and do not take an excess amount, I don't see a problem with missing a loaf of bread, or a stick of butter. However, if you steal for the sake of getting free stuff, and you have the means to procure sustenance for you and your family, than it is a despicable crime.
People do not despise a thief If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving, Yet when he is found he must restore sevenfold; He may have to give up all the substance of his house." Proverbs 6:30-31
" If humans set the rules, then sure, stealing could be alright in certain situations if the majority agrees or the person is strong enough to, or whatever the criteria is that determines whether something is right or wrong. However, if morality is not subjective and God sets the rules, then He has spoken.
It's not that simple. You can never say stealing is good, no matter what the situation is, but in some cases it just becomes acceptable. Also, it's not that easy to live in all countries.

stealing is only allowed under certain circumstances that I don't really want to get into right now. it's true, it's against the law, but there is such things as "shades of grey".
we all have our own individual judgements, but that isn't what we need at this moment. compassion and charity is needed along with education. the saying "give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life." comes to mind when I look at this. if you want to prevent a guy from stealing food, buy it for him and give him a way to get on his feet.
I'm probably a hypocrite for saying this, but this is what we need right now. I'm sure you would say you would do it, but would reneg on it at the last second.
