First, a bit of back story before I post the rules of joining and playing, just to give you an idea of the story that will be.

A tall, dark tower loomed over the barren planes surrounding it. At the top stood a tall man dressed in a dark cloak, blowing in the breeze behind him. He silently cursed to himself, because although the surrounding plain was without any life at all, he knew that beyond the tall mountains surrounding the castle, the plains were alive with grass and wildlife.
"No matter." he thought to himself. "It will all be dead soon. All in good time." He stepped off the edge and returned to the center of the roof, where a small pedestal held a small half circle. He pressed a hidden button, and the half-circle slid open, revealing what he intended to hide until the time was right. Five small polyhedral shapes rested in their own place, none of them touching the others. The man himself had another one in his pocket, he would never let it go. The power felt too nice to him. The man laughed to himself, he knew that soon he would rule all of Helmgard with the power of the shapes.
Suddenly, behind him, a hidden door leading back into the tower burst open. A knight, dressed in chain mail armor emerged. "Your through Granwalt! Your evil terror ends now!" he spoke in a raised voice, nearly screaming.
"How exactly do you plan on stopping me, Sothe? I hold all the chips, and you hold none!"
"Preposterous! Just because you have the dice of power does not mean you cannot be beaten!"
"Even without the dice I could defeat you, Sothe, and I intend to prove it!" With that the man in the cloak, apparently named Granwalt, pulled a book out from behind him. The brave knight Sothe charged forward, his two-handed sword raised high above his head. Bravery in his mind, he let out a shrill cry.
Granwalt quickly opened his book, moved his fingers in a strange pattern, and then cried out; "Raldi!" A beam of pure energy emerged from his free hand, and struck the knight square in the chest. The knight fell to the ground, sword still in his hand.
Granwalt tucked the book away back into his cloak, and walked toward the dark knight."Ha! Wheres your bravery now, Sothe?"
Sothe clutched the sword in his hand, moved it back, and then threw it forward, aimed straight at Granwalt. "Right here!' he cried. The dark wizard simply moved to the side. "Ha! You missed. Your still a worthless knight, no matter how brave you may be."
"I wasn't... aiming at you... Granwalt!" he said, dying. The sword lurched past the wizard, and straight into the pedestal. "No!" cried the wizard. The polyhedral shapes sprang up from the pedestal, and each flew off in five separate directions. "You see, Granwalt. Even when I'm dying... I still...Fight for whats right... That's, what it means... To be a true knight..." Then the knight's body convulsed, and he died.
Granwalt walked back to the pedestal, cursing to himself. "Knew I shouldn't have cast 'defy gravity' on those dice... No matter. I still have one with me. And it's the most powerful of all. All that annoying knight did was prolong the unevadable. Helmgard, would soon be his...

Oh thank god he's alive. I thought for a moment I would have to find a new warrior! Anyway, you guys might not have money, per se, but you do have your old weapons, and three bottles of beer each... You don't necessarily have to have gold immediately available to buy things. After all, I'm sure shops would gladly buy things from you... Also, for quick clarification, you guys DO NOT heal in between battles. Also, because you two are now split up, I'm going to do what many other RPG's on Armorgames do, and say your character name before your story, I will do this anytime any of you are apart. I would suggest not reading any post that does not have your Character name on the top, that way you can't know anything your character doesn't. I can't enforce this I'm afraid, and so I can only ask you not to.

Xenocrates

[i]"I would recommend the dazzling Phoenix Crossbow hung up on the wall over here." He says, as he removes it off the wall. "It does cost quite a pretty penny though. If your low on cash, I would suggest not buying a new bow or crossbow, but rather just improving on your current one. Here, let me see your bow." You give your crossbow to him. He walk over to a small archery range he has set up. At the end most near the wall, is a very large target. On the end nearest to you is a small stand. He takes your crossbow, loads a bolt into it. He then places it into his small stand. The bow is a perfect fit. "This here's my bow tester. You simply load a bow in, and fire. Depending on where the arrow hits the target, I can tell you how decent your bow is. That way only the bow itself is tested, without the variable of user error. I can also tell how powerful the actual arrow is from this too." He quickly presses your crossbows trigger. The crossbow fly's through the air, starts to travel back down, and then eventually just barely hits the targets out most rim. "Hm... I'd hate to tell you this but your cross bow, it's.... Well, perhaps a demonstration is in order." He removes your crossbow, hands it over to you, and then takes the Phoenix Crossbow and loads it. "Watch this one." He quickly fires a bolt. The arrow makes a loud 'ZWhIPP!' sound as the bolt quickly fires in a perfect line, hitting the bullseye perfectly. You are about to step forward and speak, but the elf stops. "Wait for it..." You then realize the arrow is still moving it's way into the target... When the arrow finally stops, something unexpected happens. The arrow's tip suddenly explodes in a fiery display. The entire target is set aflame. "See the problem with yours?" He says with a smirk.

"Hey, buddy? Are you okay?" The barkeepers voice rings in your ears. You turn over and look at him. "Oh thank god, your alive. Your mind went into a state of shock after the fight." The barkeeper looks around. "Did you hear everything I said about the thief lord?" You nod your head. "Good. Here's your three beers." He hands you the drinks. "Your friend left sometime ago. If I were you, I would go check out one of those shops I mentioned. Also, be sure to remind your friend to return here when he's done shopping. You should get going to."

Kyle
[i]You thank the bar keeper, and walk out the door. You make your way to the sword shop, following the bar keepers advice exactly. You arrive at Brock's Brawling Swords, and walk inside. As you enter, you see a mighty brute of a man shambling and yelling at a young girl. "You want to fight with a sword?! A maiden can't learn to figghts liked teh men can! Get out off haars ya monkey befre I ssssslice you out!" The little girl turns, walks out the door without saying a word. "And what do you wantz you litlee bit of man?!" His breath smells of beer, and you suspect he's drunk.

Hey guys, I have a suggestion for the rpg. As seen in another RPG. (I believe it is called realm of ragadorn or something.) Free webs allows people to host their own website. I could perhaps create this rpg it's own website. Doing that would give it a few advantages. For example, I could give the front page a nice background, I could post all of the rules in a nice little page, all of your character sheets on another, and the forums could be split into a separate thread for each one of you for when you split up, in order to prevent cheating. Every item in the rpg could have all it's stats on one page to. And their could be a separate forum for sign ups. The death line would still work in the same way though.

Be aware, this isn't going to happen all at once. Give it some thought, and let me know what you guys think. Your opinions are important to me. This rpg is just as much yours as it is mine, after all.

That...would...be...AMAZING!!!!

I mean, it would be really cool, but how would you set it up? It would take a while, certainly...

Perhaps if you were to add on the stories you already have on here to there...and maybe if there was some sort of way not to have everyone's own section, but have ONE section, and separate threads on the people on it.

However, that would also post one other problem. What would you do with the people that died in the game? unless you locked the thread. But then what if they wanted to play again? Then you couldn't really open it up again...

ah well. I think it's an amazing idea all around. No real threatening problems I can think of off hand. Go on ahead, if you ask me!

Oh, sorry for the double. Forgot what I was going to do for the RPG. lol.

"Well, now I see what you mean. What should I do? What can you suggest for me, in my price range, of course? A crossbow isn't necesary, but I would perfer it over a regular bow.

And also, do you have anything on the Thieves in town?"

I agree with StraightJacketMan it would be amazing and for the RPG i will ask the guy if he has any good swords that aren't expensive.

That's why I said it wouldn't happen all at once. I'll have to test out the way the websites work, and then once I'm done with everything I will post a link to it here. I'll either delete this thread and then make another to promote the site for new members, or just turn this one into a new sign up thread. I'll play around with the site and let you know how it turns out. Remember though, this IS NOT A GUARANTEE. I can't promise you anything. I'll give it my best shot with all I got, but the fact is it may be too complicated for me. So for now, we will continue playing the RPG here until further notice, ok?

Perhaps if you were to add on the stories you already have on here to there...and maybe if there was some sort of way not to have everyone's own section, but have ONE section, and separate threads on the people on it.

I already have a strategy for that. For the most of the game, it will go in one, big public thread. When you guys are together, that's when it would take place. When your apart, you would each go to your separate threads for what YOU see, and not what the group sees. This would prevent anyone from knowing things they possibly couldn't. Also, make sure you guys actually tell each other what happened to you. Their characters wouldn't know!

On another subject, I am going to update all of your characters now. Including our new player, Armorkage playing the part of Farniar! Welcome! (Just a quick tip Armor, you don't need to post your character sheet at the end of every post. Your character sheet is ALWAYS updated in my profile, at it's current status. )

Xenocrates

"The thieves in town?! Bah! Kill them I say! They should have never came. Ever since their leader got his hands on that weapon, he thinks he owns the town. I'd like to show him a thing or two... Oh, but alas! I have a family to feed. If I were to get injured, who would feed them? *Sigh* But I digress. Besides his weapon, I know almost nothing of him. Why do you want information on him anyway? As for your weapon, if you can't afford an entirely new one, and you really need a better one, you can always do the next best thing and update the one you have. I can show you a list of updates for your weapon if you want.

Kyle
"Ohhhh! So it be weap*hick!*ons you want. You come intrew my storz, my store of per*Hick!*fect weapons, and askz for cheapz ones? Your*Hick!* crazy! If I didn't have to go back to th- the other shopp... I wouldz, floor you! Ah, but I can't walk lik*Hick!*e thiz... I wish I had more..."

Farniar
You awake to find yourself back in your familiar cell. You have been in this dark, rather depressing place for more than a week now. When they attacked your town, you were captured, along with a dozen or so others. You sit up, legs crossed. You quickly look around in your surroundings. You are sitting on a hard, cement floor. A small pool of water seems to be forming in a corner of your cell. The walls are a bland cement, except on one side, where bars block your exit. Looking through them, you see a man, dressed all in black. He doesn't seem to notice you have waken up. There is a key ring on the table next to him, along with your Kunai Wire. You quickly look in your pocket, and realize they have taken all of your possessions. You attempt to speak to the man, but he quickly yells at you, telling you to keep quite. You quickly realize that if you want to do something, you need to escape somehow. (Try anything, see where it gets you. You may be surprised!

"I would very much like to see those upgrades of yours. Because I know, with the way I seem to attract trouble all of a sudden, I may need all that I can get!

As for why I ask, let's just say... I can do your wishes of a terror-free world for you. I have devised a plan to free you from the terror of the Thief Lord (with the help of a friend of mine, of course), but to do so, I feel as though I should be prepared for anything, and bone up on as much as I can, from strengthening the mind with information on the enemy, and for strengthening the power I have over him with ranged weapons.

Now, tell me, What was the "Weapon" you spoke of earlier?"

...
...

Also, to Silver directly, I believe it would be easiest to find out which sites can give you everything that you will need in the shortest amount of time.

As an example, I myself had set up a forum (which sadly died of lonliness, lol) in which I had only to set it up in under an hour. However, I couldn't get the link the site gave me (in the address bar up top ^) to go back to the site, and it got lost in the maze of the datastream.

Also, I know a friend of mine who had set up a forum that is now number 1 on the Google Search (only, of course, if you put in the name of it!). However, the size of the forum is immense, and took him many weeks to fully set up.

So, in actuallity, the site wouldn't take too long to test if there were only a few things that you had to put on there. However, there is one thng that would be necessary to do: Set up a system where you could only get in through an invite. The guy's forum I mentioned earlier uses that kind of a thing so there is no chance of anyone who is a total putz gettinig in, and only you or another admin of the site could allow people access into it. This would save the forum from being bombarded with Comparison threads, RPG games (other than the one the site is about, obviously), useless drivvel, and other foreign threads unsuited for the site itself.

I think this would be the safest thing to do, but I don't know how long it would take to complete such a task. And that, on top of putting up the site in the first place, may take a while.

Hey, Devoidless! I'm glad you want to join, but I'm afraid at the moment we have the max amount of players I can handle. But if you want, I can add your name to Death Line (Check the first page, it explains how it works.) or if I decide I can handle a fourth player, I'll let you know immediately, if you wish.
