First, a bit of back story before I post the rules of joining and playing, just to give you an idea of the story that will be.
A tall, dark tower loomed over the barren planes surrounding it. At the top stood a tall man dressed in a dark cloak, blowing in the breeze behind him. He silently cursed to himself, because although the surrounding plain was without any life at all, he knew that beyond the tall mountains surrounding the castle, the plains were alive with grass and wildlife. "No matter." he thought to himself. "It will all be dead soon. All in good time." He stepped off the edge and returned to the center of the roof, where a small pedestal held a small half circle. He pressed a hidden button, and the half-circle slid open, revealing what he intended to hide until the time was right. Five small polyhedral shapes rested in their own place, none of them touching the others. The man himself had another one in his pocket, he would never let it go. The power felt too nice to him. The man laughed to himself, he knew that soon he would rule all of Helmgard with the power of the shapes. Suddenly, behind him, a hidden door leading back into the tower burst open. A knight, dressed in chain mail armor emerged. "Your through Granwalt! Your evil terror ends now!" he spoke in a raised voice, nearly screaming. "How exactly do you plan on stopping me, Sothe? I hold all the chips, and you hold none!" "Preposterous! Just because you have the dice of power does not mean you cannot be beaten!" "Even without the dice I could defeat you, Sothe, and I intend to prove it!" With that the man in the cloak, apparently named Granwalt, pulled a book out from behind him. The brave knight Sothe charged forward, his two-handed sword raised high above his head. Bravery in his mind, he let out a shrill cry. Granwalt quickly opened his book, moved his fingers in a strange pattern, and then cried out; "Raldi!" A beam of pure energy emerged from his free hand, and struck the knight square in the chest. The knight fell to the ground, sword still in his hand. Granwalt tucked the book away back into his cloak, and walked toward the dark knight."Ha! Wheres your bravery now, Sothe?" Sothe clutched the sword in his hand, moved it back, and then threw it forward, aimed straight at Granwalt. "Right here!' he cried. The dark wizard simply moved to the side. "Ha! You missed. Your still a worthless knight, no matter how brave you may be." "I wasn't... aiming at you... Granwalt!" he said, dying. The sword lurched past the wizard, and straight into the pedestal. "No!" cried the wizard. The polyhedral shapes sprang up from the pedestal, and each flew off in five separate directions. "You see, Granwalt. Even when I'm dying... I still...Fight for whats right... That's, what it means... To be a true knight..." Then the knight's body convulsed, and he died. Granwalt walked back to the pedestal, cursing to himself. "Knew I shouldn't have cast 'defy gravity' on those dice... No matter. I still have one with me. And it's the most powerful of all. All that annoying knight did was prolong the unevadable. Helmgard, would soon be his...
well, alrighty then. Now that the whole "Argument" thing is out of the way...
So what do we do now that the whole "Theif Battle" thing is over? I think we should get that story up soon... Although if it's hard to get to the computer, it's hard to get to the computer. I know how you feel, Silver!
Sorry guys. I actually meant to update yesterday. I'll update next post, after I review my notes. Thanks for understanding guys. I've been having one heck of a week. I've got at least half a dozen projects due by the end of the week, and ITBS testing all next week. It's been extremely stressful. I'll update, but don't expect much until at least Saturday guys. Once again, I really appreciate your understanding. As for you Armorkage, you will most definintly added to the rpg as a player. But that won't be until an appropriate time arises. After all, it wouldn't make any sense if heros joined the group with no prior reason to.

[i] The Bar keeper peeked over the edge of his bar table. Quickly looking around, he noticed the mess of dead bodies on the ground. "Is it over?" he said. "Oh god, it is! I thought I was done for! Thank god you three... hey, wait, wasn't their another person with you?" Looking over, he noticed the dead ninja on the ground. "Oh... Well, whatever. Well, you two were quite the show, I tell ya! Real go getters, saving me like that! Here, let me thank you." He said as he pulled out the six remaining beer bottles. These are for you. I'd be careful though. I think I saw one of those guys put some sorta pill in one of em, but I'm not sure which. Here, you can both take three... on one condition. You two got to take care of the thief problem we've got in town! I'm sure if you killed their leader, then they would all leave quickly. He lives in a castle to the north of town. I suggest you sleep the night here though, on the house."
Thanks, barkeep. One thing I wish to know. What can you tell me about the Theif Lord? Any useful information on him?
And one more thing: are there any shops around town? I may need to upgrade a little if I even want to think about going against him. Or her. Whatever the Theif Lord may be.
"I myself have never seen the thief lord, and thus I cannot tell you much about him. But I've hear rumors... I hear the lord himself is not a very powerful man. But... he has a weapon of great power. You are right to ask for shops and stores. Luckily for you, I've been in business a long time boy. There are many stores, but I don't think you need to know about every nook and cranny. I think the most useful stores for you would be...
Misty's Shop of Magic Brocks Brawling Swords Rights house of Ranges
Thank you, kind barkeep. Oh, and I would like to ask you a few more things while I have you. The first, Can you give me the directions to Right's Range? No doubt that there is something I could buy that would be better than the bow I already have.
Secondly, can I make a request? I would like to have a small funeral service for our departed friend. Him, as well as the others. The theives. They have fought honorably, and as such they should gain their rightful dues. And besides, it would be an easy way to get rid of the bodies.
Thirdly, can I ask of another favor from you? I wish to take a tour of the town, and I fear for my friend's health. Can you take care of him while I take a look around? He hasn't said much in a while, so perhaps give him a little something to wake him up? Don't worry about the price, I'll cover it for him.
I know you have just been through so much, but if you could...
O_o. Wow, was not expecting to get someone who actually cares about the RPing aspect or RPG's. XD Most people I play with only ever care about fighting. As a note, you already know the directions to all three shops. (NOTE: Any places written in all caps from now on mean that is a place you can visit.)
"It be a priest you want. I'm just a barkeeper. I'll be sure to give the church a ring though. The'll be over here in a snap! (After all, it's not like they have anything else to do on a tuesday. >_>. And yes, go take a look around town. I would suggest those shops, and be sure to check out the TOWN FOUNTAIN. I hear that's were a lot of strange fellas hang out at, as well as a few traveling merchants. You might find something useful. Just come back here after your all finished and take a rest here. I'm afraid there's not much I can do for your friend. I could see what I can do though."
"Thank you again, Barkeep. I know it's a lot of me to ask, but you are kind to comply with my multitude of requests. Tell my friend I'll be back in a while. Unless of course, he conmes with me now."
I wish to leave the bar. Going to the Right's Ranges Store. How would I go about doing that? Or does the dice roll only matter in the fighting aspect of the game?
And I'm sorry about springing that on you, but I guess you can think of that as a test, to see how well you can write. And also, if there is no RPing in the game, than it would just be a G, now wouldn't it?
No, I'm one of the few GM's out their who LIKE the role playing aspect. I was just expecting complete idiots who only like the fighting. Also, why the heck would you need to roll dice to leave a bar?! XD Dice rolling is only used in fights, or in such a case of extreme difficulty. Just say that you want to walk their.
After a short walk down the road from the tavern, you arrive in front of a large shop, with bows, and arrows in the windows. You walk in to discover a tall man with a very lean body, big, pointy ears, and he is stringing a bow in his hand. You know him as the common folk of the forest, an elf. Usually elves like to keep to themselves, but occasionally one or two will try to make a living in towns. Elves are known for their pointy ears, fragile bodies, and power in ranging and magic. He slowly turns his head to you and speaks. "Can I help you?"
I would like to see what you have for sale as far as bows are concerned. Any type will do for me, but I would, at least, like to see a few that are more powerful than the one I already own, if I could. And maybe if you have any crossbows you could recommend. It's just that I feel like no where is really safe anymore, and I wish to upgrade on what I already have.
Also, I come to ask for some information. You wouldn't happen to know anything about the local thieves around town, do you? Or maybe something about the Thief Lord?
(after all, you can never get too much information on an opponent, unless the information is completely worthless. Or scarring. Either or.)
