Paint, I said that someone already said in the God thread how the Earth was created, and I explained how life was made sustainable. Please go look at that thread, and why'd you make 2 of the same thread?
WAIT A MINUTE! DRAGONBALL05 WAS CORRECT!!! Erm...if there is any mods out there...Paintballer222 made two of the same threads. If a mod could delete one...yeah...would be great =)
Ok, well blackmetal, you're very perceptive. And anyway, he meant a little more focused on the Earth, I think, and no the universe in general. Check out the God thread on around page 7 or 8, it's somewhere around there that Pixie briefly says how the world was created. I went into a longer explanation of sustainable life on page...11?
Alright zoor, where's your solid, undisputable proof that God created the Earth. No stuff like saying it's in the bible or something. Solid evidence either way? No. That's why I'm agnostic. If we find proof either way, then I will believe it, but right now, there seems to be more evidence of the Big Bang than god. I'm still agnostic and not Atheist, though. Don't say something is absolutely the truth unless you can back it up entirely with no what-ifs.
You need to lock one or the other. I mean I was going to post here until, I saw on the bottom of the page an exact copy of this thread. No need for multiples.
Well Lil, I'm hoping a mod comes and locks it soon so it's out of the way. I don't know why he made 2, maybe an accident, but we've just been posting in this one.
dragonball05 thanks for referencing me. (yay I'm so happy) But I can't find what I said or where I put it. Oh Well
The sun started to form (Super Novas triggered that though I haven't worked out how) dust and the like started to group together in rings around the new mass. (proto-planetary rings). within these rings some particles got close to each other and formed larger particles of dust. These larger ones attracted the smaller ones so becoming bigger. After a surprisingly short space of time the rings had become planets i.e. the Earth.
on the other hand...
a mystical omnipresent and mysterious being vreated it on a whim in a day or two.
God is not made of matter therefore time doesn't affect him. Thos is why he has the ability to have all ways been and always will be etc. The universe was created 13 billion years ago the earth 4 billions years ago, so I think it is safe to assume he lives outside our normal parameters of time. Do you think that a week could be a metaphor for those billions of years? If so could other things in the bible be a metaphor. "And god said let there be light" could that be a metaphor for the big bang ("no God just went click"
nb I know the Big Bang theory was made a while after the bible was mae up but the last sentence was more of a joke to which I credit Robin Williams.
*sigh* all you Christians, you can believe if you want. Just don't start bombing the rest of us for being "Big Bang theorists" or something. My dad has been acting pretty badly for the last 13 years, and god has never punished him.
Hey no problem pixie. I've almost always agreed with what you've said on the forum threads I've seen you post on. Yeah the proto-planetary rings thing was what I was talking about. I would have made a link if I knew how to do it. Do you just put the url? Well anyways, I agree with kingmike. Glad the Earth was created or we wouldn't be here. :P
