Don't you think it's rude to bash someone's thread?
Don't you think it's rude to say someone's bashing your thread when they're really just commenting on how everyone's been talking for the last page? (Seriously, I wasn't bashing your thread.)

Haha, I know dude. I just saw the whole line of quotes and thought I'd add to it. Maybe we should stop the big quote orgy.
Lol, thisisnotanalt you really aren't helping your cause.
Anyway, I do find it a bit annoying when someone decides to flaunt their religious beliefs in my face; although, in my experience it has been the religious who do it, not the nonreligious. Usually they think it is somehow their responsibility to save my soul or something, which I find incredibly annoying and a bit ignorant.
Oh, my head had just stopped hurting! Darn it people!
I don't think it's rude, because everyone has freedom of religion and their religion is their belief and nobody can change that.
I think you missed the point. Is it rude to state your beliefs in the middle of a conversation about something different, usually to someone you do not know. Nothing to do with religion as much as people blurbing out with random info without relation to anything.

*cough* stereotype much? No, It's ok. I understand that there are those christians and Muslims out there that want to convert everyone. But that isn't everyone. Probably not even the majority of everyone.
This thread is mostly about people trying to drown you in their beliefs when you weren't even talking about it or something like that.

That is why I said things like "usually" instead of "always" and simply saying "religious" instead of naming a specific religion.
Also, I didn't necessarily mean that usually religious people feel that way, simply that if someone is going to bother me about what they believe in, it is has unfortunately been my experience that a religious person is more likely to do so. I'm certainly smart enough to realize that it does not apply to everyone, it has simply been my experience.
Yeah I have to agree plus I'm almost postive that at least half the people who say they are an Atheists are just lieing.
Sorry for the double post, it doesn't appear that one is able to edit their posts here, and if one can, I can't find the means. I'm just curious if you can expand on this bit because I'm not sure I understand the logic behind this.

I think he may mean that people take Atheists as a joke and just go around saying that they are Atheist because they think it's funny. Like some people think its hilarious to go around and tell everyone that they are muslim and that they are going to go blow up a plane or something. At least thats what I think he meant.

I occasionally do miss the point, but yeah I have to say it is rude just blaring out your beliefs to random strangers.

I sometimes find people in my area saying they are atheists because they think its cool to be one or something.I may not have too much proof behind this, but it is just something I have gathered observing the way people act and making comparisons. One friend of mine admitted before that he lies all the time about his religious beliefs saying "I believe in myself" but really whoever you find to be more of an issue really just depends probably on your own beliefs(I don't think you are going to find people bothering you about religion as much if you are of the same religion, but I could be wrong of course)and of course your environment. If you live in an area that is made up of more religious people then yeah I think you are more likely to find them bothering you if you are an atheist, and the same could probably go for people who are religious who are filled in an area with more atheists.

yes, well all of these things could be coming from the church. In fact in the church I go to we always hear that we should spread the word about Christ/God,and all of that.Others may just read it in the Bible and follow it to best of their ability.I typically keep to my self most of the time, unless someone asks about my beliefs so I am not really sure what more I can say on this subject.
Lol, thisisnotanalt you really aren't helping your cause.
What cause? I don't have a cause. I'm just coasting through life, waiting until someone comes along and flaunts their religious (or lack thereof) beliefs and pisses me off mainly because I doubt anyone on AG or anywhere shares my beliefs.
