Me too. Sometimes there are criminals that no matter how many chances you give them at a new life they always go back to what they love. Crime. Though, I would only recommend the death sentence to the most heinous of criminals. Even then, I would seriously consider to either imprison them for life or to execute them.
you have no choice but to use the Chair or the Firing Squad.
The chair and firing squad are sadistic methods of execution compared to the lethal injection.
Depending on the degree of the murder committed, I believe that anything from twenty years to life is good enough. I think the death sentence should only be used for murderers who commit horribly heinous crimes or those killers who escaped prison and cease to kill.
I have always been an advocate for ending the death penalty except for extreme circumstances. War crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide should all be punishable by death. If al-Bashir, President of Sudan, were ever caught and convicted of genocide, I would see no reason to keep him alive.
But I wrestle with the issue of serial killers and those who just have absolutely no remorse. It's something I still struggle with. I cannot seem to come up with a logical solution.

Those people will never stop killing. It would be good to execute them because of that. They feel no remorse, and therefore will continue killing.
It would be cheaper but look, many countries now use lethal injection. So, there must be an advantage using lethal injection over the firing squad.
It's not a matter of expense but one of dignity and humanity. Lining someone up against a wall and shooting them would be somewhat taboo, and reminiscient of Stalin/Hitler etc.
I have always been against the death penalty. Locking someone up for the rest of their days is enough punishment, if not worse than being killed instantly. Serial killers with no remorse are often psychopaths. A condition that doesn't enable them to feel remorse. In addition, there have been several cases of wrongful convictions, with people having been executed for no reason at all.
no offense but with our Jails now.... we are just letting them have a vacation. We need to bring back chain gangs and bread and water
have you ever been to jail my brother went to jail for hitting a cop its not pretty and its definitely not fun unless its like some white collar pay to stay prison
