Hey Christianboy! You're coming from a religious point. Mind you, the book of Leviticus also says masterbation is bad. But anyway, does this mean that lesbians can have sex? The bible never used an umbrella term like gay and said something along the lines of a man my not bed with another man as he would a woman. But there is nothing there about women doing the nasty with eachother.

Which leads me to another point I only just realised I had. It's descriminatory to preach abstinance because that means that gays could never have sex. Which even from a religious point of view is stupid because Lesbians can do whatever they want becaus when the bible was written they didn't know females had any kind of sex drive. Which leads me to another question. If god's real how come he didn't see that coming?

Dude, Onan had sex with his wife, but he pulled out. That is what it means by he wasted his sperm.

Intercourse is defined as the interaction of male and female genitalia.
I'm pretty sure that is sex.

And what could be worse than two virgins trying to figure out on their wedding night what goes where?!

Lol, my friend's older sister and her boyfriend are getting married this June. Neither of them has ever kissed anyone, including each other. Ever. We all give the marriage a few months before some serious problems arise.

As far as I see sex, it's another way to get to know your partner. However, I believe it should wait until you know each other very well and are sure that you are going to be together for a while before the deed is done.

On the topic of abstinence, I believe that in a society that no longer fears God or persecution for the "sins" committed, that it's an unrealistic goal for our children to be sex-free until they are married.

We'd have to go back to humiliation in terms of The Scarlet Letter for it to be plausible again.

The Church doesn't exactly allow sex at all dude. That is the reason why you need to be baptised into the church, because you're created out of sin. But I see what you're saying.

That would be horrible, singling people out, then again that already happens with sex offenders.

Uh the church does... after marriage
You do not have to be baptized in to the church so you can be forgiven.

Yes there is, but since women can't really have sex with each other, and since everyone is equal in God's eyes anyway, was there really a need to say that?
What's your point on masturbation? Can you seriously tell me that there's nothing weird about sexually arrousing yourself?

Gays should not have sex, because sex is supposed to be the connection between a man and a woman and whatever children come from them. Gays only know how to painfully **** each other. God did see it coming, it applies to both. Men wrote the Bible, so they would write "man" instead of &quoterson". I'm not really sure what your point was.

the point about masturbation, certain sects of christianity, such as catholicism, officially oppose masturbation as it is a waste of sperm. that is a very loose way of putting it, but other than a sign of lack of respect for your body (this is how the bible sees it, not everyone:P) which is suposed to be in itself 'a temple of god', those sperm are all potential children!

sex: christianity officially states that the 'oint' of sex is to produce children, and that this can only be allowed to happen between two people joined in holy matrimony in the name of god. there is also spiritual bonding between the two people, but i was always lead to understand that the bible teaches that a man and a woman come together in that way to produce children, for it is the will of god ('go forth and multiply' etc...)

If god's real how come he didn't see that coming?

he gave people free choice, he isnt a cruel merciless dictator, that would kind of go against...well everything!

It's descriminatory to preach abstinance because that means that gays could never have sex.

your point makes no sense... if you preached abstinence as a way of life for everyone then nobody could ever have sex...not just gays... if you say, 'wait until you are married' then many churches allow gay marriages, abstinence does not apply extra-strongly to gay couples, that's a bit...weird o.O

Intercourse is defined as the interaction of male and female genitalia.

yes, that is sex, so is oral sex, which involves only one of the two, as is anal sex (that'll probably be starred out, but it's the other one either gay male or straight couples can do, begins with a...yea, you get it) still sex, intercourse is one of the many varieties of sex

disclaimer: i am not strongly religious myself, but i've had a thorough secondary religious education, focused largely on christianity, and if i contradict myself a few times, that is only natural, showing different sides

FIRST OF ALL

Abstinence is not the way to go.

Sex is completely natural. Oh, and if your excuse is protection against STDs, USE A FUCKING CONDOM(thats f***ing)

Oh, and if your excuse is protection against STDs

i don't think that would ever be the argument, most people would use condoms, yea, i think it's more about being ready, being with the right person, a special moment, and all things under that sort of umbrella. also in the context of this thread, it has religious significance, because you are not allowed by the law of god to have sex before marriage.

Sex is completely natrual, yes, but it should also be a symbol of love, and if you're f***ing everyone you go out with, how much love is really put into it? There's dignity in waiting until marriage, even if not for you, so I don't know why you would try to persuade someone else to have sex. I would mostly expect you to defend your sexual actions.
My excuse is that a relationship shouldn't just be about sex, and that if you can get sex that easily, some people will get into relationships just to get laid a few times. Also, birth control can fail, as can condoms, so you may end up with unwanted pregnancies and STDs even with all the great protection there is.

No, but I know it can happen. That wasn't really my point anyway.
