Seriosly There is so many words in the world why do people have to cuss? Do you think your cool,tough,brave, or does it make you popular? What's the whole point?
I've always wondered why certain words and phrases became "bad words." For example, "Jesus Christ" just happens to be a swear word now. Why? Why not "Mohammad" or "Buddha" or "Bovines?"
Good point. I think it's because Christianity permeates American culture so much.
Also they are sentence enhancers, use them as much as you can to sound smarter.
Ex) Instead of: You're point on the String Theory is completely preposterous, it was obviously made to represent cheese in a symbolic form.
You can say: You're an ***, you have no ******* idea what the **** you're ******* talking about ******! String ******* Theory is ******* made to ******* represent cheese you *******, I mean what the ****!
You think you sound smart when you cuss? Just slightly strange but the reason people cuss is "If you really hated someone and didn't want to express it by saying "I hate you" then cuss words come in. People also make words like gay into a cuss words. Without God there wouldn't be most cusswords.
F*** and S*** are usually the easiest to slip out and if you are in pain or somthing they might be said a lot. But I meant in general without God half of all cusswords wouldn't excist.
I curse and while it's not ever other word out of my mouth i do say it to emphasize something that i say. I don't understand why people are insulted by the words themselves sure there are insults that can be made out of the words but the words them selves do no harm depending on your context.
That's just because cussing has become such a natural part of society. It's the same as when your parents say someone looks "snazzy", that sounds weird now because we just don't use it. Language changes over time.
Some people like the feel that they're breaking some rule, or they just want the attention. Others simply may want to emphasize what they're saying, but in a circle where everybody is foul-mouthed that's not going to help you out much anymore.
