I don't even think it's very safe to say "MEH well stall killed this amount of people but Pol Pot only killed this many.." It's better to know why those people were killed and what percentage of the population was killed. Pol Pot killed off thirty percent of his population, but he didn't kill off 70 million people like Mao did. And 70 million falls well short of 30% of China.
Pol Pot was the worst now that I think about it. "Okay, take this group of people and slaughter them for no reason." Doesn't make a lot of sense. Sometimes the occasional massacre is needed but he went above and beyond in the numbers he slaughtered.
i cannot think of any valid example where a massacre was needed and good.
Good? I never said that. Also, control is an example. Might sound cold but when being a totalitarian dictator, one needs control. No control means no totalitarianism. But I never said it was good.

LMFAO! (I know you were joking but still it made me laugh)
And I am going to have so Adolf Hitler... I mean come on he's responsible for 12 million deaths (that's besides the soldiers killed by germany) Including the soldiers would probably be a lot more.
Seriously, he scapegoated all minorities in Germany and made people think it was alright to kill them =/ I think Hitler wins this topic.

Dammit, any more of this and I'll have to borrow AngryJoe's bullsh*t translator. Quit it with the hyperconservative conspiracy theories. They're annoying and too outrageous to be true.
Pretty much...It's not even a case like Stalin, where he killed 50 million people but also industrialized Russia. He killed off 25% of the people and tried to revert everything to farming.
IMO, this is a really crap discussion. What sort of competition is this? Apologies if I'm being sensitive, but I don't think people realize that evil in this manner should be compared. Period. Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler, Hirohito...they were all terrible men. I don't give a flying f*** if Stalin killed less people by starvation than Mao, all I care is that people suffered terribly and died by their hands. How can you compare this dictatorship as if it were a game? I had family and friends who starved and suffered under the hands of more than one dictator, and here we have some s****y list cheapening them into a number game? Have you people no shame?
