New Hampshire recently joined Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, and Vermont in legalizing same-sex marriage.
This is obviously a big victory for gay and lesbian advocates.
Maine is also looking good in the fight for same-sex marriage, and may make it legal as soon as next week.
There is also a group called Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders, a group of lawyers who led the legal fight for same-sex marriage in Massachusetts and Connecticut, who have set a target of bringing same-sex marriage to all New England states by 2012. Maine could make them only one away from their goal.
What do you think? Do you think they will reach their goal?
How long until same-sex marriage is legalized throughout the whole country?
Recently, I found this site, which lists ALL the federal rights denied to gays and lesbians, totaling 1,138.
That reminds me of how Hitler treated the Jews. Of course the American government is not killing gays/lesbians, but they're still denying them rights for ridiculous reasons.

Good god its like they're not people anymore, I wonder what America would do if there was ever a gay president, other than have half the country secede again.
That website makes me sick to read. I can't believe that in this day and age people would still be this ignorant. Homosexuals don't effect anybody but themselves so why get so upitty about it. And about the whole sanctity of marriage thing why doesn't everybody look at the rate of divorce or how many drunken fuck heads get married in Vegas every week. The truth is this is just disgusting homophobia hiding behind something else.
I dont care if people marry others of their same gender, even if i dont feel the same way. It only makes me a little angry when people laugh at people who feel like that. I mean what if you liked ice cream, but you couldnt have vanilla or something cause your white. I mean would you like people laughing at you because your eating vanilla.....

Well that would be fine by me, because black people wouldn't be allowed to have chocolate ice cream, therefore it's fair. But that's off topic...
In my personal opinion, I don't like gay people because I think it's immoral, and other people think it's immoral to think that way. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it that sense, a lot of you are far more defensive. I'm not pushing anybody to not like gays or not care, while alot of you are pushing me to like or not care about them, and so we're on to sides of a brick wall, yelling at each other. 90% are on the side for, and 10% are on the side against. See the fairness? No, because there is none. I don't like them because 1) I just don't like them and 2) I was not raised around them in any way, and I've only ever met one or two in my lifetime. Nature and nurture play a part in the way we think.
How the hell did you just call gay people immoral, if it wasn't meant to happen then we wouldn't have the tools to make it happen, and people wouldn't have thought about it, I love your use of nature and nurture right there because I've never in my life met a gay person, explain that then!? I stand up for them vecause they're just as human as the rest of us, and they deserve to be treated the same, what they do behind closed doors is none of our business.
None..find it odd? two people together...same gender? Really, have you no shame? what makes people want to be gay? Call me whatever you want, but I know everyone in the forums knows theirs something odd or weird about gay marriage.
He had a gay kid in our school once...kept trying to get weird with one of my friends...so me and a few others took him and beat him up until he admited he wasnt gay. He never did, and a week later he transfered out. Im the only one out of the 4 who feel guilty about it...but then they were all hicks and they tend to stick with their old fashioned ways lol...you can take the hick out of the barn...but he'll eventually get back in ther and get er dun!
That's not what I said. And there you go being defensive again. I said gay marriage is immoral, not gay people, if being gay was immoral, then we wouldn't have them would we?
I don't like gay people because I think it's immoral,
You might want to learn to use grammar that's a bit more accurate, then. In your sentence, "it" implies that you believe gay people are immoral because there was no change in subject.
Now, if you had said "I don't like gay people because I think gay marriage is immoral," we wouldn't be having this problem.
