Agreement... I agree because it is a bad thing for people to do. And even if it legal, it is against the Law so that if they do watch pornography, the are breaking the Law. I also think it should be illegal because in the Bible it says, PORN IS BAD!
Disagree... I disagree because sometimes pornography is good. For example, when you are at a Sperm Bank, where do you think the sperm came from? You probably would suggest that the male used pornography to masturbate causing the sperm to come out. So, pornography could be used for a good thing.
I don't see the point in outlawing it. It's just plain not as bad as other things we could be working on, and making it illegal will seem like a joke. Could you imagine the public outrage if the gov't diverted money from police forces cracking down on drug dealers to persecute porn websites?
Actually Big you did mention that you don't think it should be illegal but I appreciate the clarification.
Like anything, its morality really depends on the circumstances.
Morality also has a lot to do with personal perspective. I think this applys particularly to porn since what one person sees as pornographic someone else could veiw as a work of art.
isnt it illegal already>? guess not i like it we should have it legal
are there countries where porn is illegal? if so, what countries? i'm curious now. here in the U.S. it's legal as long as it's made by consenting adults (18+).

From what I understand, Iceland has laws prohibiting the publication of pornography, China also has a ban on pornography.
Also, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Phillipines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, and a boatload of Middle Eastern countries along with a lot of others.
Some of the laws differ from country to country, including those that I listed. In some, it's only illegal to produce pornographic material, but it's okay to possess it. In Australia, nearly all of their states ban the sale/rental of X-rated material, but it is not illegal to *have* pornographic material.
In Australia you can publish it but it can't be legally made here. So all the aussie magazines and DVDs have fottage made in other countries.
So they can print it and sell it but all the actual acts have to be commited in another country. That seems like a complicated way for a government to contradict itself. Like they're saying "Yeah it's alright but it's not really alright".
This is related back before the Civil War. The Slave trade was illegal, but having slaves was allowed.
You might be calling me lazy, but I'm going to throw my view out there without reading previous pages :P
Adult pornography should be legal. Morals and ethics don't apply. If you don't agree, don't watch. Some people see it as a real art. Sure that may be a small percent, but just because the majority of porn is used for pleasure and whatnot, doesn't mean that you can just make it illegal and stop artists from their work. Indirectly, it's a right of expression so you can't take that right.
Of course this contradicts because I don't think pornography with..."actors," under the age of 18 should be legal. I can't really back that up with the previous statement, but oh well :P

I hate to agree that a mod is being a little lazy but it is true.

I have to agree with this though. What is viewed as pornography should only be made by consenting adults (in the U.S. people 18+). I'm not really sure how these things are seen from other cultural perspectives though. There are places where the age at which a person is considered, from a legal stand point, an adult is differant.
