Do you think that pornography should be illegal?

I agree and disagree.

Agreement...
I agree because it is a bad thing for people to do. And even if it legal, it is against the Law so that if they do watch pornography, the are breaking the Law. I also think it should be illegal because in the Bible it says, PORN IS BAD!

Disagree...
I disagree because sometimes pornography is good. For example, when you are at a Sperm Bank, where do you think the sperm came from? You probably would suggest that the male used pornography to masturbate causing the sperm to come out. So, pornography could be used for a good thing.

Like that one guy said, it's against the constitution. Besides, it never hurt anyone... did it? Lawlz

It wouldn't matter if it was illegal, that wouldn't stop people. It's like pirated music and movies, there's always a website to go to.

I think Zophia has some good arguments against that...hehehe

Thing is, viruses a plenty. That's enough to keep me away <.< I don't want that type of stuff popping up all the time

[/b]PORN IS GOOD FOR YOU.

Back that up please?

They are closely related, though. While they are used for different purposes, they bring sexual pleasure. I don't know how less special sex would be for someone who has masturbated VS someone who hasn't, but they still fit in the same category.

I don't feel they're that closely related. Both bring sexual pleasure.. but.. it's like saying cricket & baseball are the same game because you hit a ball with a bat.

It would. Let's take a moment and think about how awkward that would be.

I have to go to intensive psychotherapy right now. I'll be back later...

No, I know they're not exactly the same, and that they are different issues. But I mean they fit in the same category, and one may (or may not) have an effect on the other. That's all.

VIRGIN!!!!!!!

He never said he was a virgin, just that he didn't watch porn. So maybe he's a pornographic virgin, but you didn't need to spam to get that point across.

Well, for me, i dont watch it cuz, who agrees with me on this, if you wait for the "special time" it will be even more special. I mean, if u do watch porn every single day, wouldnt it get repetative and when the "special moment" does come, then it will be less special?

Both of these are pretty valid points but I feel compelled to point out a few things. First I don't know how many people watch porn every single day but I tend to think that people who would need to learn some self-restraint. The fact is though even if you've seen a thousand pornos and masturbated as many times the first time you actually have sex is a unique and personal experiance. I have to agree that it is an experiance one should treasure but I don't know that watching porn could really do anything to diminsh the significance of a persons first time.
Personally I don't watch porn or view porn (with any regularity) because I find it gross. Sure sex is a natural process but in porn it just seems unnatural. Plus I don't really want to see other people having sex. I'll admit that I occasionally get a good laugh from porn, partially from the unnaturalness of most porns and because I'm the kind of person who tends to notice the small gross physical flaws of the &quoterformers" more than anything in most pornographic scenes.

Talo, don't troll.

I don't know how less special sex would be for someone who has masturbated VS someone who hasn't,
Masturbation makes one aware of what sort of touches bring sexual pleasure. If two people who haven't gets thrown directly into having sex with each other (of their own free will, married, whatever, reason not important), it will most likely take quite some time before both gets satisfied, because neither knows anything beyond the instinctual. Particularly for females it would be advisable (if they're interested in receiving the pleasure), to know how they like to be touched and make their partner aware of it. If you know what feels best and can tell your partner about it, you do have an advantage over the clueless ones. Particularly because different people like different things.

I mean, if u do watch porn every single day, wouldnt it get repetative and when the "special moment" does come, then it will be less special?
I'm gonna dare say no, even though I'm mostly guessing. Physical stimulation is something totally different from visual stimulation and fantasies.

O hai.

That depends on how you look at it. The professional porn business is usually quite pick on who they use as actors, meaning: Just because you think you can handle being a real porn star, you won't necessarily be allowed to. So the real business does look out for their actors and make sure to pick ones that can handle that kind of business.

The amateur porn may hurt people if they didn't know their spouse or fling or random sex partner was gonna put the vid on the internet. Examples of this would be those pesky sites that require you to spam a referral link to unlock pictures and videos of someone's ex. Said ex is probably quite hurt by that porn.

Child pornography... I don't really need to say anything there, do I?

Other kinds of porn, I don't think I should really need to talk about on AG.
Except for drawn porn. That doesn't hurt anyone, except maybe the brain of the viewer, if they stumble upon one of the more out-there porn themes. ^^

It would. Let's take a moment and think about how awkward that would be.
I draw pornography occasionally. I have proudly showed some of it to my mom. She laughed. My mom's cool.
I wouldn't want her to walk in on me doing anything related to sex, though. That would be very awkward.

I'll admit that I occasionally get a good laugh from porn, partially from the unnaturalness of most porns and because I'm the kind of person who tends to notice the small gross physical flaws of the &quoterformers" more than anything in most pornographic scenes.
That's fun^^

Sure sex is a natural process but in porn it just seems unnatural.
I'm chuckling and agreeing with you at the same time. In most porn it's kinda forced (not raep-forced, just, you know, like a fake smile).

yes. it should be illegal.it goes agianst the bible, and if our constitution says we have reliogeous freedom, it should only mean that if we stay true to the teachings of the bible,or the torah or any other reliogeous book. however some would argue that is an artform, and if it is not to graphic, sure, i'll buy that but if it is a *heavaly sencored and so detailed that would make any porn star blush* no. unless your athiest, then drowned your self with it.its adultery, plain and simple

Not everyone follows the bible therefore no laws should abide by the morals found in the bible. Also, nobody is forcing you to watch porn, if it goes against your religion do not watch it.

Religious freedom means right to choose what religion you follow as well as whether or not you choose to follow any religion at all. Religious rules should not be part of the laws in segregated countries. Religious moral may be used as a foundation for writing laws, but it is not the deciding factor.

I sense religious self righteousness. I'm agnostic. I don't care what your books say. And no friggin way shall your books tell me how to live my life.

If you have an issue with porn, support laws against it and avoid it in your daily life. If you don't, don't. Simple as that. Only reason I'd bother arguing in this thread, is when people think it should be illegal because it goes against their religion. I really despise that argument.

not everyone lives in the united states.
I was gonna make that point. You beat me to it. (Btw, I think Denmark has a reputation for being liberated in this kind of matters... I'm not sure, though, I haven't read up on the history lately.)

how about my morals, do you have morals?i do
Oh I have morals alright. They may differ from yours, but aside from what we consider sins they're not necessarily different.

So you think watching pornography is a sin. Because it is adultery? Because you look at the naked form of someone who is not your spouse and feel arousal? Okay, if that's a definition of adultery to you, fine. In your eyes it's a sin. Because of your religious beliefs. You are perfectly entitled to these beliefs, but you are not entitled to force them on people who do not believe in the same religious rules as you (not saying you try to do so, just saying).

and i dont have to watch naked weomen to get my kicks like all of the perverted sinners defending it.
Oh, I don't need to. Still haven't seen pics or vids of a beauty to match who I had in real life.
It's still nice to have something to look at occasionally, though. The human body is interesting. I don't get why anyone should be ashamed because they admire it, or desire it. I don't get why it is a sin to look at someone. Then again, there's a lot of stuff about the bible and the so called holy words that I think is just messed up, so as long as no one tries to force me to live by the texts, fine.
