Well,everybody thinks world will end in 2012(or once thinked),but in my opinion,the will be another world war based on nuclear and atomic weapons that will destroy most world's envroiment and population,or just make we angry and at 2013 will be a faire's tale?Take a look and see if the maya guys were wrong:finance Crisis(please excuse grammar mistakes),North Korea nuclear weapon stuff,Iraq war is getting bad,etc...and the good is that Barack Obama is making Cuba a ally for what is coming.The maya civilization could be some years wrong,i mean, the end could be at 2010,2011...Or even in this year!
Well, there's no guarantee that much of anything will happen... We might see some asteroid showers due to wierd gravitational fields as earth points straight towards the heart of the galaxy, but nothing else.
Honestly, North Korea can't do much at all... It fires one nuke at someone and the worlds arsenal gets fired back at them. They level one city (assuming it isn't the US they are targeting because we are developing anti-ballistic missile tech) and then the rest of the world levels their entire country. Following that, America, South Korea, and UK would invade and demolish anything left. All that would be left would be a smoldering pile of ash...
Also, it was not that the world would end. Their calender simply stopped. That doesn't mean the world will end. That means that an age will be coming to an end. If you look back into the past two decades, you will see the digital revolution taking place. The internet was created. Genetic manipulation really started off. Physics has discovered new particles.
The age we are entering is that of nanotech, quantum physics, and relative peace. Sure there will be wars, but all the super-powers of the world are on the same side. China needs us, so the two of us won't ever go to war. Israel needs us and the UK or it would be dead right now. The European mainland is pacifistic. Russia doesn't feel like conquering the world. The only powers that are preventing world peace are terrorist groups. If they are quelled, which they eventually will be, should we continue to fight them, the countries that remain will have no reason to fight us and as such will be peaceful.
One wrong move and everyone gets nuked, but I doubt it. What we see is the end of an age.
Every single time somebody predicts the end of the world, it is always wrong. One wrong move on North Korea's side will turn their little country to glass.

Military service is mandatory and the populace nearly worships Il as a demigod... The system used by him makes the civilians believe that he is the best person in the world and is their hero/savior... Don't know how he covers up starving them to death... I wanna meet his propagandist...
and actually, I saw a movie yesterday. From Lewis Black, the comedian. He said: Everyone in North-Korea is so evil that they don't have colour. That's why we never get colour pics from them. AND ACTUALLY he is quite right. The people their are totally brainwashed that they are all militairy in a way of another. They do think that bombing the world is great and that their leader is the boss. In my opinion, all UN countrys should attack that land. EMEDIATLY. then we will see if any other country dare's to make nuke's again!

North Korea isn't foolish enough to start launching nukes. They do that, and both China and Russia will be extremely upset at with them, and North Korea needs all the economic and political assistance it can get. Anybody who launches a nuclear missile will at the very least be ostracized by the international community. More likely they'd find a very angry international coalition force invading, and even a million man army with a half dozen nukes can't stop that.
North Korea is indeed gaining power, and people underestimate it. I'm not going to enlarge their image, but I will admit taht Kim Jong is a man who wants nothing but to see America destroyed. Obama doesn't help out much while he sits in the audience, listening to an anti-American speech, and says nothing.
Thers a girl in my class from North Korea lol ... Anyways it looks like their takin on te worl here so I don't see any BIG threats other then them bombing South Korea or japan . If they do bomb the us ships they will be dealt with , i'll see about that -_-
If there is a thrid world war it won't just be in North Korea. I mean, Israel has also announced that it would attack Iran if it did not stop process on Nukes. And, it continues to warn the United States that it will destroy the Nuke stations if Iran continues to build them. This can and will spark a war between the two.
The United States then can be dragged into the war, since they are allies with Israel. Russia in the past has said that if the US were to attack Iran, he would back them {Iran} up.
And in the end, this can all cause a series of chain events witch would lead to many contries on the verge of war to let loose.
I mean Japan has been told by the US to ready thier Military and return to the size it once was. (Incase N. Korea attack Japan with a Nuke)
You see? It would lead to more and more countries attacking one another for no reason what so ever. And contries with tensions growing ex; India and Pakistan.
