I'm just going to throw this out there... Call me crazy, or correct me, but...
It just seems like when it comes to controversial issues that could possibly conflict with certain religious views, all religious arguments are immediately classified as false, untrue, mumbo-jumbo.
Is it not okay to express your own personal beliefs about a certain issue based on what your religion says without being shunned and regarded as a closed minded fool?
Is it not okay to use the bible, the torah, the Koran, or any other religious book as your argument?
Most people as it seems on these forums would argue that you are not allowed to argue with those things because not all people believe in the same religion.
But couldn't I just as easily debunk all of your arguments because I don't believe in the same things you do?
I suppose the point I really want to get down to is why religion seems to be so widely unaccepted on these forums?

The explosion of a beetle would not be enough to do that. Also, your argument is based on atrocious grammar and spelling, not facts, so I can't argue that. Your argument doesn't even make sense. Actually take the evolutionary knowledge test. . . .

Because not every beetle would have to explode (I said that already. Please, please read my post) and not all giraffes would be killed. Your anecdote would *not* apply to all, even most bombardier beetles or giraffes.
The Bible was written by Men. And anything that has a human touch in it, cannot be taken lightly, without any hint of biasness smeared in the sources. Also, as countles people have brought up, no solid data or evidence is used to justify the series of metaphors and anecdotes in the Bible. Bringing up the Bible here as an actual source of evidence...isn't really going to give alot of punch.

No justification has been given that God himself wrote in via the acions of men. The original texts were written by various authors after c. AD 45, in Koine Greek, the lingua franca of the eastern part of the Roman Empire. Certainly...there are no hard facts to support God's involvment, and that is a bet I'm willing to take with Pascal's Wager.
