Yes, I'm submitting this because I don't see any currently active threads on the issue :P

I'll just leave two statements that probe a little deeper than face value:

a) Exactly what motivates the military's policy here? One must admit that "don't ask, don't tell" is definitely less discriminatory than "search and destroy", but are there any grounds for the military to somehow be run with standards separate from the rest of civilised society?

b) On an individual level regardless of the above, is Choi's position compromised beyond repair? Has he sacrificed his military career for the sake of a political campaign? It would most definitely be construed as an act of defiance against authority and policy.

This has nothing to do with football either. This is about the US National Guard de-positioning gays.

I know I just wanted to explain to him that this isn't a phenomenon of only the army, that racism towards gays exists everywhere.
p.s. Sorry for being so harsh to you, I am just in not a very good mood.

Prejudice towards Gays actually, racism presents to a race, or color. And I happy to know that Gay-Rights activist are gaining ground, because of the prejudice against Gays.

Yep, some times I confuse some words, when I am tired, cause I know 4 languages and none perfectly.
We make mistakes so we don't make them again, if someone tells you what is wrong.

As far as I know 'racism' is the only word in any language that is an english word, how does that compare to other languages?

I think racism derives from the italian word razza. Though I am not certain. Racism in greek is ratsismos and in German is something like Rassismus.
