For many years the neighbors to the south have faced political turmoil and corruption, with drug wars spilling into the streets of major cities.
Poor, uneducated mexicans and their families cross the border from an unauthorized zone. They will climb mountains, cross rivers, and run from the authorities to make it into the US.
Of course, once they're in they have no money or job. So what do they do? They move into poor communities. They get menial jobs, ones that college students attempt to get. They force teenagers looking for work to quit as they accept lower wages.
Many times, illegals will rape, murder, steal and trade drugs in utter disregard for the rule of the law. They put their undisciplined children into our schools, where they will cause trouble as they have zero interest to learn.
Whose going to take care of them when a crime happens? When they go to jail? When they go to court? When they are hurt? Who pays for their attorneys, their medical bills or their protection when they will break the law at will?
We, the American citizens do. In many states, they get full benefits of citizenship without the extra responsibilities and without paperwork calling them a citizen.
I pay my taxes, I vote, I work hard to put food on the table and keep a roof over my head. Why should my job be stolen from someone who illegally entered this country? Why should my hard-earned money be given to someone who breaks the law?
The constitution says we must guarantee the rights of citizens, not illegals.
No, but people sure can, and it's about the people getting across, not the trucks. But there's forklifts for the trucks, as well as cranes, and, (according to Mythbusters) a massive catapult.

You honestly think that they will get a truck over it without anyone seeing?
Well USA people are imigrants, there was a group of people from all over the world, they came in the land called America, but noooooo! America was full of Indian people who lived there, so they killed every Indian there and made themselves a home, by the way every citizen of USA is an imigrant of countries all over the world.
My family has roots to American Indians crossing from Russian Territory from when North America and Asia. One half crossed and one stayed. Me? I am desendent of the crossing side. So I am part Native American. When I lived in the United States, I was not considered a imagrant, because we were the first humans here first, then the Europeans came and put us into slavery, murrdered us. We fought because we had to. Options: I. Fight II. Give Up Be Murrdered or become a slave.
China was here before the Europeans, stories were passed on for a long time.

Oh, so now we're gonna hire a 24/7 guard post system? This is ridiculous...
1 Truck = 20 times the amount of dope/weapons/illegal immigrants than on foot. And the catapult was proven false.
You can't just assume they're criminals! That's the thinking that'll cause racism. Is it not possible some immigrants might just be showing up for a better life? I speak from experience when I say people who assume only Americans can do any good in the world are way too patriotic for their own good.
If they get here illegally then they are breaking the law, making them criminals. If they want a better life there are legal ways of doing it.
That's the main problem. We don't allow them access unless they enter illegally. If it was just a matter of people filling out a bit of paperwork, the problem wouldn't be nearly as complex, and we could tell exactly who was smuggling weapons/drugs by the simple fact that they were crossing illegaly. Thing is, we don't allow them access. The difficulty of getting permission to become a US citizen is increasing, and many people are denied. Many of these people have no other way of having a better life unfortunately, and this offers the best hope. Take Robin Hood. He stole from the rich, gave to the poor, and all that other stuff. Technically, he's a criminal, and a fairly extreme one. Yet everyone views him as a hero. These people are the needy, and they take much less than someone like the mythical Robin Hood. Many people, all around the world, think we're greedy, fat, and arrogant, and we aren't doing much to disprove that with an idea like this.
If they want a better life there are legal ways of doing it.
Really? Elaborate on how an ex-criminal from Mexico looking for a new lease on life in America gets greeted in with open arms. 'Cause I got news for you: they don't. The guy behind the counter takes one look at his criminal record and tells him to hit the road.
Uh, we already have.
Are you serious? The US government is spending millions solving a problem they don't have? Next thing, you'll be telling me theres guards at the US/Canadian border. (By the way, I'm not up and recent on my American stuff. You can tell, eh?)
