I my self am a proud veg and im a guy i dont see any thing wrong with that, however my peers constantly put me down for it. I question others about it and some say that animals are kiled to keep the population under control, then shouldnt we do that to humans? are there any other vegetarians on armor? if you are a caravor responding to this please try not to be insultive i get enough from my freinds and family
I've tried myself. For whatever reason, I get the feeling that my body really would prefer me to take in a certain level of meat, though I do know that I certainly used to eat *too much*. Now I earbash my other family members when I think they eat too much meat and not enough greens :P
I'm still mulling over the specifics of idea that different people can be "differently suited" to a balance of meat and veg in their diet, of course. And obviously, this doesn't have to be particularly relevant to a moral code of vegetarianism.
vegetarians are a bunch of retards that go against nature, reason and common logic. for starters your body needs meat. second if we were to stop killing animals think of an impact that would have on families, businesses, and the economy. also, what about all the animal populations? if we just left them alone things would go crazy. it would be devastating. third animals are animals they don't have emotional feelings and they don't know right from wrong. we area at the top of the food chain and this is how things are meant to be.
i always hear someone saying "oh animal slaughter is so bad we need to stop right now". theres no point. what about all the other countries in the world? we can't make them stop slaughtering animals. if its just America doing this its just us ands that not going to make much of a difference.
I am a vegetarian! My parents are supportive, but they still make me eat chicken broth =( But my mom is taking some extra time to make my meal without any meat (half the time the other half I gotta pick it out), so I figured that I can eat broth occasionally.
I dont think i could only be a vegitarian. Animals arent killed to keep their population down. We raise then to eat. Killing humans would be unethical. I think that we should kill of the criminals (not petty crimes but things like murder/rape/etc). That would help some.
you spelt carnavor wrong but yeah i toataly agree with skipper on the population controll thing and im a vegitarian so dont get the idea the im a meat eater.
I really don't understand vegetarians. No offence, but if you have a good argument to put forward - please do. Do NOT tell me killing animals for food is selfish. Also, do not tell me we are taking advantage of our superiority and intelligence.
First of all, why is it not wrong for animals to prey on other animals, but (according to vegetarians) it is very immoral for human being to kill animals for food?
Why is it that cheetahs kill deers all the time and do not get bashed by vegetarians? Why is it that other animals are allowed to kill for food, but we are not. I mean, seriously, think with me: Are we not animals?! Why do other animals have the right to kill for food, but we cannot? Either I don't understand a vegetarians point of view or you're arguement is just ridiculous.
Saving animals is just an arrogant attempt by human beings to control nature. We should not interfere with nature. It put us here after all. We are like all the rest - and being superior to them, we should not limit our rights, but we should have more rights than an octopus, for example.
Over 90% of the species that ever existed on this planet are extinct, we didn't kill them all. Regardless of our actions, 25 species a day will become extinct. Leave nature alone. We are so self-important, everyone has to save something now.
@mousey13: Wow, I'm just not going to say anything.
@Skipper8656568: A leopard has the advantage of strength - yes. We have the advantage of intelligence, a pistol would easily take down a leopard, we wouldn't even have to risk out lives to kill anything we wish - our intelligence makes us the fittest on Earth.
We don't kill animals to keep population under control, whoever told you that is feeding you lies. We kill them for survival - we need their meat for food, just like (will use the same example again) cheetahs kill deers for food which they need for survival.
Is it because we are the intelligent beings on this planet that we have to risk our lives to save the animals?
animals and humans arent different we may have different attributes and different looks and some are vertabretes and invertabrets and some have gills but we all have life and feelings though maybe peopl say we are different from animals that is true but we both still have feeling and life so how would you feel if humans killed each other only because are population so the next time you eat meat think about this.
I beg to differ. Animals and humans couldn't be more different. You say they have gills, fur, and floppy ears, etc. They have a different lifestyle, a different beliefs and desires. They don't look ahead, they look to the present. If they want a bone, a dog will try to get it as soon as possible, while a human might look at the long term benefits.
The worst thing, the absolute worst thing you can do to an animal is treat it like a human. They are not humans. Animals are animals and need to be treated as such. If you treat a dog like a human they will start feeling out of place in a dog park, they will probably become more violent towards other dogs, and they will lose their doggish instincts.
Just because animals and people are different, that does not mean we should slaughter them.
magicteen, humans kill each other for almost any reason you can think of.
