Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.

The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.

We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc

This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis

I understand Kirby.

And John had a vision from God. He wasn't under the influence of drugs. And yes, but I think they might be metaphors for what is already happening in the world.

I know that the Assassins of the Crusades smoked some kind of weed that made then get into these "trances". I forgot the name but I know it began with a h. The Assassins were originally called "Hassassins" because after every kill they treat themselves to this weed. The name will come to me..

Really it is a sin to smoke? Can we get someone to look it up. In my opinion you are entitled to drugs just as everybody.

It says somewhere in the Bible not to alter your mind/thinking.

Now to get back on topic, what are you guys' thoughts on the woman and the baby?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 states:

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Drugs mess up your body, not the type of thing you want as a temple of the Holy Spirit. In addition, if we were made in the image of God himself, would it not be a perversion to live unhealthily?

Well back in 10 A.D. The only real Medical knowledge was: too much wine makes you drunk; you can die thanks to lose of blood; and how to treat small cuts. Every thing else was "your sick because there's a demon inside of you. Lets put this spike into your head to create a hole for the demon to escape." The probably didn't know that smoking gave you lung problems.

I'm sure when people read that they were thinking, "K' lets not drink any more, lets put sex aside, and we should avoid piercings and other bodily mutilations." They didn't KNOW that smoking CAUSED HEALTH problems for their BODIES.

1 Thessalonians that the dead in Christ shall rise, and we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord. . .

But the dead will be resurrected AFTER the tribulation so if your grouping the two events together your actually saying there is a post tribulation rapture.

The womans obviously Israel, and the baby probably Jesus.

Seriously though, I'm going out for lunch and I should be back in a couple of hours to continue this debate.
