Since I have joined Armorgams . . .I see a lot of Atheists and their threads about why people believe in God etc . . . I wanted to start a thread about the bible and christianity.

The purpose of this thread is to debate a different book of the bible each week. We will discuss lessons, morals, and different stories.

We will have friendly debates. Please . . . if you are atheist or of other beliefs . . . you may discuss in this thread, just PLEASE no fighting, flaming, spamming, trolling . . . etc

This week we will begin from the beginning . . . .Genesis

That's not what he's saying. This is a hard concept to explain, but I'll do my best. God knows what we will choose to do, but he doesn't make the choice. We can't change the future because it hasn't happened yet. We can't change what the future will be because the future will always be whatever the events before it build it up to.
We may think we're changing it by doing action A, but action A was always going to happen. We have the ability to choose, but from where God sits, he sees things outside of time. We've already chosen in his reality of time and yet here we haven't been presented with the option yet.
Even if there is no god, we all have free will. But the future is what it is and we can never change that; if there is a higher power that can see the future, then this higher power knows what will become of us. But that doesn't mean we didn't make the choices that led up to it.

I feel like I may have said the same thing a few times, but hopefully somewhere in there it made sense. If you come to the same conclusion, then that just means I didn't explain it well enough.

What you are saying is that we don't have free will, but at the same time we do.

How many angels do you think fell with satan when he rebelled?

I don't think any angels fell with Satan because I don't think Satan rebelled because I don't think Satan exists.

I don't think any angels feel when satan rebelled. Contrary to thisisnotanalt, I do think that satan exists.

I heard it was about a 1/3 of the angels.

question: If all the angels went along with Satan's rebellion, could God be over thrown?

I doubt it, if God is the almighty being. But what do I know about religion...

Yeah, I wouldn't think so. I don't know anything that occurs in the unnatural world, or even if it exists at all, but I wouldn't think that God would make anything/anyone that could destroy him, or any group of things/ones that could destrooy him.

actualllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

in the book of revelations it states that the world will end in a war between satan and god and ONE OF THEM WILL BE DESTROYED. so yes, if all angels rebelled I imagine they probably could get rid of god somehow.

if god and all that jive is real of course.

I mean theoretically, If Satan was a former angel, and if every angel and human soul rebelled against him, he might be overthrown.

God cannot be overthrown because he is almighty and all powerful. He could take us all out if he chose to . . .

That is very tue JJ because of the story in the bible of the lady that gave all she had which wasn't much but she was the best in Jesus's eyes becausse that's all she had. But that is not always true because of the fact that say your extremely rich and yuo give a penny God is glad that you donated but it shows that you would rather save all the rest of that dollar to buy anew video game for example (I know video games cost more than a dollar) but the point is that the more that you give that belongs to you the more you give in Gods eyes

I have a question, why do you bold everything?

Tithing is a really awful thing for churches to enforce. Lots of churches say that god won't do you any harm if you tithe, and people believe them. 10% of your income as a way to essentially bribe god is really immoral.
