Because the government exists to please the people, so if the people don't want it than neither do they because to many decisions the people do want and BAM revolution.

homosexuality is a sin

I don't see it in the Bible...

I don't think legalizing Gay marrigae will cause a revouoution.

The Government was origianlly created to please the people, but in today's world, they please themselves.

It's already legal in several states, if two Gay men get married than I could care less.

I'm not Gay, but i don't see why the Government ahs a problem with it.

I don't see it in the Bible...

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

Fail, now while I do think the bible condemns homosexuality as a sin it never says it's worse than lying which is legal so I see no reason why it should be illegal esp. in the culture.

I don't think legalizing Gay marrigae will cause a revouoution.

I never said it would but to many decisions the people don't like such as legalizing gay marriage and people won't be happy. Also why it's done a pretty crappy job lately the government still exist's to please the people if it didn't more people would have revolutionistic thoughts. Also for the answer to the last question read my post.

Maybe. The government doesn't exist simply to please the majority, or at least I would think the democratic systems of government that exist in many first world countries are so shallow. After all, a lot of civil rights decisions were hugely unpopular among whites - who outweighed minorities in a big way. Even if the government is here to please "The People" - some people do want it and other people don't want it. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with the issue is that the people who are winning in most states (Anti-gay lobby) aren't the ones being impacted by the decision. I mean, what impact *really* does it have on heterosexual marriage when a gay couple get married?

Hm, maybe I worded that wrong the government exists to serve the people in the best way it see's fit.

None at all but they think "it's weird" or "unnatural." I wouldn't say I'm for gay marriage just that I'm no against it.

Here's my two cents...
If they legalize gay marriage, then they'll have to accept polygamy as well. I honestly think the government should stay out of people's bedrooms, and let us choose who we want as a companion. I don't think they should tell us who we can and can't marry.

And they'll have to let us marry dogs as well, right!? And then what comes after dogs, inanimate objects!? Oh, the humanity!

I agree with Snakebite. They need to stay out of people's bedroom. If they want to marry someone, whether a man or a women, let them. The governments not going to be affected.

@Green12324. If anything, the government will get more tax dollars.

You're joking right?

The bit that makes me angry is that this issue is being decided by voting. Why is it fair that they should have to vote to give a basic right to one group of people that the other group already has.
