A Haiku is a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.

Well, that said, heres the rules:

1) The Haiku must be original (no plagarizing)!
2) It must fit the weeks theme
3) It must be submitted before the deadline
4) It must be submitted for the contest (no using works previously written)
5) One Submission per user
6) The Same User cannot win twice in a row (but there welcome to submit!)

Hopefully oneday the winner could get a merit...

The Deadline will always be a Wednsday, so the deadline for the first theme will be Wednsday, September 2. The theme is The Pond

I sure need to pee,
The sea does look so tempting,
It will have to do.

Waves of love pull me.
Deep down in your sea of lust.
Full of each others joy.

This was my old one. New:

Waves of love pull me.
Deep down in your sea of lust.
Sands of bliss beneath.

The crashing of waves
beckon me to leave this house:
sit at waters edge.

I may revise this, but for now, this is my entry.

They come in slowly
flowing over my body.
Then leave with beauty.

Watch the waves roll in.
Hear them crash against the bank.
To them, I am drawn.

Swaying so gently,
taunting, to go swim in her.

Unhasty seesaw
Between two forces, drifting
Away into dreams.

I don't know if this makes a lot of sense; I may have mixed a few ideas into one haiku. But I can't unwind them, and can't think of anything better. Wait and see..

Death in Japan

The crashing tsunami
Hearing the people cry out
Death has turned on me.

This is to honour my Japanese friend.

p.s. She didn't get hurt.

I think the next theme should be "Hurricane" for the sake of the victims of Irene.
