Fairly speaking you'dd have a lot more chance surviving a knife stab than a gun fired at point blank range. Also killing with a gun is easy, just pull the trigger and you're done, with a knife or other weapons it sometimes requires multiple stabs/hits, which leaves room for reconsideration... What's easier? Controlling your rage when a small twist of your finger will kill someone, or controlling your rage when you have to cross some distance and attack?

People will always try to kill other people but you're less likely to die when up against a knife or a baseball bat. Guns don't create more violence and they don't really increase suicide or murder rates but they do make it much easier to kill or maim someone.
but those dont kill as quickly and theyre much harder to master.

I'd honestly rather be killed quickly and cleanly with a gun than have my killer stab me once, rethink his actions, and then walk away. :P

I'd be too injured/too far away from a phone to call 911. I'd die slowly, wallowing in my pain. Killers aren't stupid - they don't put little slips of paper in a top hat and randomly choose where to stab. They go for the gut, the neck, or the throat. Or the face.
If I get stabbed once, I'd probably die anyway - I'm not an adult. A single stab to the gut, and I'd be done.

Definitely. A stab in the right place would mean an almost instant drop in blood pressure. It's be a wonder of adrenaline if you could walk or even crawl anywhere. All that movie stuff where people are stabbed or shot multiple times and either recover, walk away, or gasp out their final words makes me laugh.
guns dont kill instantly. they can be healed. you just arent as likely to survive a gunshot wound than you are a stab wound.
It really depends on many factors. What kind of bullet, what is the range, where it hits you, and how much armour/ protection you have. This applies to the knife as well. I pretty sure a bullet to the neck and head is an insta kill.
