A day or two ago president Obama brought forth to the students in this schools nations a speech, concieved in Political messeges, and dedicated to the his health"care" propaganda that all people's amount of money should be equal.

Now we are enganged in a great partisan war, testing whether that propaganda, or any liberal propaganda, so concieved and so subtle, can long be given to the naive children. We are met on the great political battlefield of healthcare, political, and economic reform. We have come to dedicate a great portion of our time protesting at town hall meetings with tea parties, and protesting in front of bank-owned buildings for those who gave their hard earned money so that AIG and other banks' executives could live in a life of personal luxury. It is altogether fitting and proper that we oppose Obama's healthcare and bailouts for the good of the hardworkin' taxpayin' godfearin' patriots in this nation.

But, in a larger sense, we cannot attempt to allow huge tax hikes in a time of great financial difficulties. The families of this nation, on Main Street or Wall Street or Unpaved street, who struggle constantly in this nation, are going to be hit much harder with these tax hikes than any of us could imagine. The nation will greatly note, and will long remember our fight to endure the security of our general welfare and our hard earned money, and to endure free enterprise in this nation.

It is for us today to oppose the tax hike and healthcare plan and the presidents propaganda speeches so that our future generations can prosper, and that our economy outlined by the Founding Father's, is dedicated to the great task remaining before us-that from the honored founders we take increased devotion to that cause for which they so valiantly fought their high-taxing king, and so that their work has not died in vain- and that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of economic freedom from the government for the people, by the people, and of the people shall not have perished from the Earth.

Please, share any criticism you have of the tea party protesters and those who fight for their right to sell what they want without the government stealing their money to give to the banks.

Hmm... Price hike, no health care benefits for anyone who doesn't have it....

Yeah, I'm not getting you. Propaganda? That's what you're giving us. I watched and read that televised speech, and all Obama does is tell us to become hard workers and do great in school. I see no problem with that, and if they (your kids) really did listen well to that speech, I'd expect that their work ethic would rise, if not, considerably.

This is all so that in the future, they won't end up like those people from the Great Depression that was caused by Republicans you so dearly follow.

I have a fun game we're going to start playing with troll threads like this. My ultimate hope is that it will discourage their creation, but I also think it will be a great way for those active in the WEPR forum can learn debating skills and how to deconstruct an argument.
So, here's the contest:
Read the opening post carefully and find as many fallacies, poor arguments, or other general problems with the argument as a whole. The member with the most pointed out fallacies will be awarded a merit (worth 25 AP).
Be sure to state the problem and explain what it wrong with it as best you can.
Also be sure to quote which part you're talking about - just quote the relevant part.
Once a fallacy has been detected by a member for a certain part of the OP, then no one else can get credit for it. So speed is key! Good luck!!

and to endure free enterprise in this nation.

The original gov't of the U.S. was made sure to be built on Free Enterprise. Overtime, it has turned into a mixed economy.

and that our economy outlined by the Founding Father's

Their way was first being a confederacy that had each individual state being able to print its own money. In a sense, that was a screw up on their part. Be glad that was resolved.

and that this nation, under God,

We are going to be taking that back soon, because it is unconstitutional, by the founding fathers so graciously given us the right for any religion and others, AKA Amendment 1.

shall have a new birth of economic freedom from the government

More economic freedom will be bad for us, because we all need a little socialism in our economy, in order to prevent huge trusts and monopolies. If this happened, we would be in bigger doodie than we are in now.

for the people, by the people, and of the people shall not have perished from the Earth.

1. practice your grammar more often; it sounds like you are speaking of this from the past.

2. We actually do decide our economic freedom already. We, as citizens, decide what goods to be produced, how to produce them, and make the producers decide for whom to produce the goods for.

I think that was... 5. Does my last post with 3 count?

Provide proof, instead of conjecture, that that statement is true.

And you should know this, 1/3 of your income is spent on general taxes and social security, so you can't be really sure that all or most of it is spent on such a fickle thing.

2 extra = 7

Never use fox news or its affiliates, because they are completely lopsided in politics.

Use something else, because that link is broken. If you can find this "fact" from a completely objective political news organization, such as C-Span, then I would believe you; however, you lack credible sites in order to do so.

Aww, C'mon Graham, half of those are brief clauses that don't even have the whole
sentence inside! :-(

I was talking about the other link you provided, but now that I looked at the other, I can still say yes. Media involves opinion and such that disagrees with small remarks about officials without proper backing to support it. Media is far from being objective.

The only way I'll be able to get that shiny merit is if I go ahead and become a liberal, with heavy bias and twisting of things. I can by the way counteract all arguments just about anyone can put up in one way or another. I'll do that.

First fail:

A day or two ago

Please, for gods sakes, give an actual time.

testing whether that propaganda, or any liberal propaganda

Both sides fork out propaganda. For any side it's just as bullshit as you want to make it.

so concieved and so subtle, can long be given to the naive children

It was a [bleep]ing speech telling you to stay in school, okay? Not freaking propaganda.

But, in a larger sense, we cannot attempt to allow huge tax hikes in a time of great financial difficulties

Yes we can. Remember, the government is God! We must dedicate every dime we have to the 'less fortunate', and the hyper greedy. (Not sure if that counts)

The families of this nation, on Main Street or Wall Street or Unpaved street, who struggle constantly in this nation, are going to be hit much harder with these tax hikes than any of us could imagine

While tax hikes won't do jackshit for this economy, I can't see us going to go off the rails as you appear to say. We will flounder, whither, and die as an economy, yes, but we're not going to fail. We're America after all! (Not sure if that counts either)

It is for us today to oppose the tax hike and healthcare plan and the presidents propaganda speeches so that our future generations can prosper

Bah. What's 1.6 trillion dollars to you? Nothing. If we wan't to be nice and feel good about ourselves we must help the needy, regardless of the cost, or whether the needy are on heroin.

Not you Freak:

We are going to be taking that back soon, because it is unconstitutional, by the founding fathers so graciously given us the right for any religion and others, AKA Amendment 1.

The first amendment has nothing to do with whether or not this country is or isn't under god, it deals with literal laws being enacted against or for a specific religion. Don't think so? Go back in time and ask -.-

More economic freedom will be bad for us, because we all need a little socialism in our economy, in order to prevent huge trusts and monopolies. If this happened, we would be in bigger doodie than we are in now.

While monopolies and trusts can be bad, often they aren't. A true monopoly hasn't been shut down in over 100 years. They are required to keep a balance. In my opinion, we need more economic freedom, rather than less. Only things that are absolutely vital to national security should be watched. Everything else, watch it fly away.

2. We actually do decide our economic freedom already. We, as citizens, decide what goods to be produced, how to produce them, and make the producers decide for whom to produce the goods for.

We only choose the supply and demand, not the goods themselves. And even that we don't have direct control over.

As for specialty orders, that doesn't count.

Does that count?
