Its not scientific, its logic. The bible has to make sense doesn't it.
Why even make any interpretation of it even from a Christian view if it makes no sense.
If it says "Killing is bad", then shouldnt i get the idea that its wrong to kill people rather then be like "oh shit no bible isnt suppose to be logical"
the bible is a book that carries a message, which is brought through stories written 2000 years ago and earlier. comparing it to the knowledge we have to day makes no sense.
so any comparison of facts and saying everything makes no sense is a oversimplification.
Well that kind of makes sense in discrediting the Bible, but you could elaborate, couldn't you? And the title is a bit insulting, isn't it? "The Stupidity of the Bible". Don't forget that a lot of people believe in this wholeheartedly. Some, like nuns or priests, have even dedicated their whole lives to it(not that I think there are any nuns or priests hanging out on AG), but you could offend them.

Umm? That makes no sense
How can the bible just say anything it wants and yet be logically correct?
What, it doesnt have to be logically correct? So it can just say anything and you'll believe it? How can the word of God say that the world was created in six days if a "day" was a concept that did not exist before the creation of the Earth?

Technically, if you believe in god, he is an omnipotent being, with powers far beyond humanity's grasp, so I don't think Clairvoyance is too far outta his range.
And, even though I am not a religious person (Atheist) you should respect other peoples religious beliefs.

God has the power to make logical fallacies?
So he should be able to create a rock so heavy that he cannot even lift.

wtf? The bible doesn't make sense IN SOME ASPECTS. That can't be argued. However the morals in it are just point of view, however a lot of them in my opinion are good ones to live by. However you don't need the bible for those morals, there's such a thing called laws and the ability to think.
