I think global warming is a myth if anyone wants to prove me wrong try.

The thing that is bugging me is that the CO2 and temp rises and drops in unison as the years go by, so by that, I just poked a huge hole in a random person's logic. Where's that thread....

Who's the random person?

20% is 1/5 though. And the population is just going to get bigger and bigger...

At our current rate, yes, it'll get bigger. If I made a guess, we'll be living on Mars within our lifetime though. So deportation sounds nice.

Global Warming isn't a myth. It's not entirely fact, either. My understanding is that it is, in fact, Earth's own warming cycle that is causing this to all happen. The Ice Age was the ended by another cycle, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, it's a theory. It's tested many times, but no one has (yet) proven it wrong. The only thing we need to worry right now is how to effectively fight it. The Greenhouse Effect, AKA CO2 has the properties to trap and store heat, is a law, because it happens all the time and is a common fact.

But CO2 is a completely natural substance. Plants create it through respiration (or some similar process), so how can we really stop it? Reduce it, maybe, but doesn't that mean the Greenhouse Effect is completely inevitable?

Well, no one has ever proven them right either. And CO2 isn't the only greenhouse gas. There are quite a few others, and those are far more potent.

Is methane one of them? The only problem is that CO2 is everywhere and there are lots of it around. No production factories in my knowledge expel more gas than CO2 by a long shot, and we aren't really doing much to calm it down... ;_;

Im pretty sure the biggest contributors are Co2, Methane, Sulfur, um... there's more... it's much too late to think... Whatever's in aerosol, I believe... not entirely sure...

Methane is following it in amount, and not far behind. Then comes sulfur. And then it drops sharply from there. Sulfur and Methane are far more potent the Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide. CO2 and CO1.

Aerosol is something I have no idea. All I know is it makes it intensely hard to breathe.

Right, but CO2 and CO1 are far more plentiful, correct?

One should think that they have an overall greater effect on the environment.

Ah... I'm using logic, not facts... my argument is invalid... xP

Not far more, but maybe 15% or so. Methane has more of an effect though. It's extremely potent. It's what knocks your breath out when someone farts.

Ahkay. This is why I'll never be a debating God. I don't get my facts straight. >_<

But yeah, I knew Methane was what's in flatulence. Cows put out tons of it every day. Just remembering that.

Fun Fact: At one point, it got so bad that they taxed farmers every time their cows farted.

Yeah.

It helps to practice :P

And their poop releases quite a bit of it as well.

Can I say overkill? XD

Yup.

Erm... there doesn't seem to be anything left to clear up... maybe discuss solutions?

There are no real solutions. In fact, if you study my chart carefully, you'll notice we're about to fall off the edge of the world. We're going to plummet in the next 500 years or so, tops.

We'll be dead by then most likely.

If we're not dead by December twenty-first 2012. :P Just kidding.

Sorry. Just trying to continue the conversation.
