I also heard he won because he was the first black president (no joke it might have been the actual main reason.) I mean give the prize to all the people who voted for him. Also he "has created a new atmosphere of diplomacy." Apparently they've never heard of Europe...
I personaally am trying to think why he won it, and so soon after being elected. As said above, it might be the fact the he is the first Black President, but i still think he shouldn't have won it.
It's to early for him to win the prize. He hasn't really done any great feats so far. Except for him being the first African American president, which don't get me wrong, is a great feat indeed... but still. I'm confused as to why he won it. We are Americans here (everyone here is from the US... right...) so we are looking at this from an American point of view. And so the Europeans are looking at him from a European point of view. So they look at what he is doing differently.

First he's half black, and he's possibly the whitest black man I know, he's only black in skin color and NOTHING else. Well...I mean you might have to ask Michelle..but er never mind. Anyway he didn't do anything it was the voters, give them the prize he didn't beat racism every American who voted for him did. Not that if you didn't your racist.

All I have seen in his supporters is outright racism. I live in Houston, where 1 in 2 people are black, and 9 in 10 of those supported Obama. I happen to have to deal with the entirety of them EVERY SINGLE DAY. I say I'm against him and/or his policies, I'm racist. I'm automatically racist.
Sure, I'm a little racist. But not against black people. So I don't see where these people (whom I've never even met before) are calling me racist.
is just rediculous that obama won it. the award is given to sombody for outstanding achievment. and not trying to hate on obama or nothing, but he hasnt achieved SHIT as president so far. its like surley they could have foubnd SOMBODY better
