I don't. I've lost all faith in America and everything it seems to stand for. All that is a lie. The government doesn't give a crap about you or your life. They just want money, and for you to shut up. Therefore, I will not pledge my allegiance to any nation, corrupt or otherwise. I only pledge my allegiance to God(sorry Atheists, but I gotta have something you know?). I know I'm going to be called a Nazi or terrorist for this but: death to the American government(wait, all it STOOD for is already dead, so haha.).
I say the Pledge of Allegiance, because my school is forced to. It's pretty gai. I don't say the whole pledge though, lol I think you know what I'm talking about. That's one thing they can't make me do.
Well, if you don't you shouldn't be in America should you? Every American should say the Pledge of Alligance because it's their choice to be in America or not.
I don't say the pledge out loud (since I'd be the only one doing it, we just stand up for it) but I wouldn't have any obligations. The under God part is questionable, but I don't mind. America is a good place to live, regardless of the exaggerated claims people make about it.
There's a Islamic girl in my class and she says the Under God" part. I kinda question her beliefs in her own religion. She might be talking about her God, but she must certainly know that that is not the God it's talking about.
Meh, I could care less. I usually stand up, move my mouth and pretend sound is coming out, slur the 'Under God' part (I disagree with saying a pledge if they force me to say one that implies all of us are Christian), then say the Texas pledge.
And it's just, like why do they make us say it every day? Are they afraid we'll change nationality and home country every single night while we're at home? C'mon.
Overall, I don't mind, it's still kind of a nuisance taking the time out of my morning and risking being late to my next class (which just so happens to be located across the universe from my first period class).
There's a Texas pledge? I wish Illinois had a pledge...haha.
And it's just, like why do they make us say it every day? Are they afraid we'll change nationality and home country every single night while we're at home? C'mon.
My school only recites it over the announcements on Monday. Probably to save time.
And it's just, like why do they make us say it every day? Are they afraid we'll change nationality and home country every single night while we're at home? C'mon.
That made me giggle. :]
then say the Texas pledge.
There's a Texas pledge? How conceited is that? (I thin I'm using the word "conceited" right)
I wonder what my school would say if I refused to pledge my allegiance to America.
