Global warming is real right? I mean the green house effect is real but there is so much controversy about if its man made or not, and even if it is man made will it kill us all. I think that it is man made and it will kill us all, but i want your opinion.
i don't think any non-ignorant people will agree that it will kill us not talking about what causes it or who, or why, just that the earth is warming and cooling drastically(over long times) and will eventually kill us, WAY eventual if indeed it is environmental and not man(accelerated) not man made.

Well it's changing a lot less gradual this time around (actually the rate is multiplied by a whole-number figure, but i forget exactly what the data says and not all is the same).
It's very shortsighted to question whether humans have something to do with it, it's very self-evident that we are hurting the ozone+environment, but how much is a true question. Since we are influencing this, the acceleration of the change is obviously partially caused by us. How much we're a factor is mostly unknown.
(mostly that last sentence is the only jabber that really matters here)
The energy industry has quite a lobby, and a good amount of money to hire some scientists to prove, what they want to be proven.
Zel, once again I agree with you. The power companies are huge contributors to political campaigns and their lobbyists have all of the time in the world to push their sponsors' agendas, while the rest of us have to work for a living.
it's a legend. We had 6c for the last 2 weeks (around 37f); and I live in Italy! I sleep with 4 blankets!
so its cold were i live in new york city but i still know that the planet is getting warmer very slowly, in fact so slowly that if nothing happens we will all be flooded, you cant feel it but its there. dont be an ostrich with your head in the sand!
The last 8,000 years have been a period of unusual temperature stability.
As you can see, we're living in an abnormally long warm period since the start of civilization. Let's keep it up!!! A bigger picture:
As you can see, the whole of history is during the warm period. An even bigger picture:
The temperature is lower than the temperature during the medieval times, the height of Greek civilization, and the Babylonians. As we can see, higher temperatures cause higher civilization. Keep it up!
Same graph
Let's make the earth warmer as much as we can(which is not much)!!!
While I agree that most global warming is because of natural patterns that have been occurring way before humanity, I think that it's not the healthiest to use as many fossil fuels as we do.
That said, I hate how Global Warming is used as an excuse to tax people who drive (for example, in my town, everything is spread out {100,000 people so it's not small}, and we have to pay a carbon tax on our gas because we could be using "alternate" transportation, never mind the ****ty bus service lol). I also hate all the "be green" cus it's hip and trendy. They parrot pseudo science that they heard along the way and act all smug about it. That just pisses me off lol
Global warming is a hoax devised by government leaders for the purpose of increased taxation and regulations of individual and corporate entities. Plain and simple.

LOL just from that description, you must be from BC as well.
Government expects us to get rid of our cars and ride the ****ty bus services to 'save the environment'. Maybe if we had some service somewhere other than Downtown Vancouver, where a bus passes every half a minute compared to where I live where a bus passes every half an hour.
