Global warming is real right? I mean the green house effect is real but there is so much controversy about if its man made or not, and even if it is man made will it kill us all. I think that it is man made and it will kill us all, but i want your opinion.
Scentific peer review processes gets rid of the biased extremes of the pro CC lobby (Al Gore etc) and the oil company anti CC lobby. The aggregate of scientific opinion is that CC is real and man made. It's only the extent of the effects which are up for debate in the unbiased scientific community.
Bottoms of oceans are NOT affected by outside temperatures. You know why? Because they have thousands of tons of water between them and the surface, and it exerts enormous amounts of pressure of methane. In fact, on everything down there. It is sub freezing by a long shot. Everything down there is frozen. Trust me, it will not come unfrozen unless we go upwards of 40C in average temperature. By that points, there wouldn't be much of an Earth alive.
Sry, I should have said this like two weeks earlier. It isn't solid frozen. It is gas pockets barely frozen by tiny sheets of ice.
LOL Portal joke. Actually, if you know the glitch, you can find the cake in the game. But all Portal discussion aside, global warming is a fact. And it's killing all the polar bears T_T.
Show me a statistic that shows prevailing losses in the polar bear population and then I will consider it. Until then its just a lot more bullshit from the Profit of Global Warming.
And yes I meant to spell it that way. Look at how much money he has made. I am just glad he is getting sued for fraud.
@Graham: Are you honestly saying that? There is data and statistics to prove it, and it's happened before. We'll see what you think when you drown. =v)
hmm... lemme see... the polar bears are dwindling because of ice thinning right? well let me repeat what i said earlier
Syun Ichi Akasofu is a professor of physics and the founding director of the International Arctic Research Center at the University of Alaska. He is one of hundreds of scientists whose research contradicts the alarmist beliefs of environmentalists. Professor Akasofu devoted the last 50 years to studying the arctic climate, and his research proves that the receding of ice sheets is due to natural forces and is not caused by humans
"it has been receding. But again, this receding began around 1850. Not just the last 50 years. This is happening all the time as a natural phenomenon. So. it's very difficult to simply associate all the changes in the ice to carbon dioxide."
ayyyund.
Patrick Moore - Founding Member of Greenpeace, PHD in Ecology[
"Actually, the number of polar bears are increasing in quite a few of the areas of their range. There is no evidence whatsoever that the polar bear population is declining and the main threat to polar bears is hunting by human beings, not climate change."
I know that the ice thinning is natural. It's just being accelerated by Global Warming. And when he says their # is increasing, having 1 baby doesn't count.
funny how that contradicts what the founder of GreenPeace says.
Scientists very often contradict themselves about the global warming and there is no doubt that either the supporters or the skeptics are paid to say what they say. But the problem is that we cannot know for sure who is lying. I personally support the global warming theory, because I see that the climate is warmer than before and because the majority of the scientist that are against it work for big companies and are Americans. The USA economic sector would be hurt a lot if the big companies and the state had to take measures against this phenomenon. I think that the fact that the persons who deny it's existence have something to gain from it.
