A friend brought up aninteresting question the other day, and I thought that I'd share it wwith you guys. If you had to choose a disability, would you rather be deaf, blind, or mute? Why? I would rather be mute because I could still communicate through writing and other than that the effect that it would have on my life would be minimal.
I think I would rather be blind. I don't know why but I have to talk a lot and I would like to be able to hear. I think I could still do some things without my sight.
I agree with Switchfoot because I would also prefer to be mute. I'll much rather actually see and hear because that's what I really need to observe my surroundings and see things. Also, since I'm mute I could just use sign language, or like Switchfoot said a chalkboard, but for me it'll just be paper and pencil lol.
I think everyone would rather be Mute. I was thinking about how it would be to be blind and darn. It would suck, No offense to other blind people but I personally would kill myself if I was blind (Not saying other blinds should, just saying thats what I would do) Not being able to see anything would make life pointless to me.
And being deaf wouldn't be as bad as being blind, but that would just suck as well.
Being Mute however isn't so bad.
One thing though Mute isn't so bad because it doesn't Impair one of the 5 Senses. I wouldn't mind not being able to smell or taste though before being Mute.
If i am death i wouldn't be qable to see anything which i would need to be able to do a lot.

And if i was mute, it wouldn't really matter to me. it would be cool though if you could type something in on a machine then a computer voice would say it(then i wouldn't care about being mute, yay!) Besides, i need to be able to observe what's around me, it could save my life someday. And there is always sing language.

No doubt mute. If I was deaf (not death madgamer012) I wouldn' be able to listen to music, which is my life, and I wouldn't be able to read or watch t.v. or play games if I was blind so mute.
Yeah, mute for me too. I enjoy drawing and music way too much, but singing I could probably do without.

If one were deaf and blind and mute...and had no sense of touch or smell they'd be a philosophical zombie. Whether they'd survive to birth let alone beyond would be debatable.
As for arm and leg...gosh. Ironically I do all kinds of things that put me at high risk of breaking any of my limbs but require me to not break any. Uhm...arm. Loss of mobility is one of the biggest daily inconveniences.
A broken arm or leg? Well i would go with a broken arm because with a broken leg i can't walk around much, and it would be really hard to play soccer. Ehh..i just hope it is my right arm so i can still write good with my left(Lefties PWN!)
I would be better off mute, and some people and friends would love that (I'm a noise-maker and the loud-mouth in our class, but I don't tell secrets. :> )! At least I'm still able to hear things, music is life, dudes, music is life. And I'm able to see things, read, read, read... Oh, and to answer Ubertuna's question, I would be better off with a broken foot, and I mean my right. I'm the goal keeper in our Soccer team, sometimes forward, and at least I am able to write things! Oh, and if I'm mute, I need to write just to communicate, I'm left handed. :> And cool, madgamer012, your left handed? :O
