Definately. Have you seen the amount of kids who are like five years old with cell phones? If someone accidentaly sends them a sext than that shild will be scarred for life. Someone of legal drinking age will probably not have a five year old in the speed send.
another thing to think about is that if a child is sent a pic. on their phone from a friend they will be marked as sex offenders for the rest of their life for something they where curious about or had no part in. is making a child a sex offender bec. of that the right course of action?

Now then, my opinion. How is it...dangerous? Between teens, I mean. If it were sexting between strangers, as in the same between social websites, then I would see the problem. They wouldn't realize that there would be a chance that those guys are out there for sex until it is too late, and sexting will only encourage that sort of behavior. Between girlfriends and boyfriends that have known each other for quite a while? Someone tell me how bad that could ever be? Encouraging sex between them, resulting in teen pregnancy and STDs and the like? That would happen even without the cell phones and talking from a distance.
That thing about the little children and cellphones... That really should be blamed on the parents themselves. How would a child ever find need of a cell phone at that early of an age? FIVE? For crying out loud and softly...
As human beings, we should be allowed to send whatever information about ourselves we want to other people. I understand it being illegal for children or minors to sext, but when you have two 16 year olds getting in trouble by the law, then there's a problem.
Sexting is risky because any image can be copied and sent so easily. But it is [b]UNCONSTITUTIONAL[i] to charge a 16 year old with possesion of child pornography for having a nude pic of a 16 year old girl. If an old man had that picture of the 16 year old girl, then the government should get involved.
If sexting becomes illegal between adults, then our government has grown too big and our Bill of Rights will be worth nothing. The government will use it as a symbol of our country when really it would be nothing more than parchment.
