So I just have a question to every one. What is the point in proving god to not exist? What makes it worth while to sit and flip out on people, the goverment, schools, kids, parents.....that they are wrong, and science is wrong?
I understand having an oppinion, and trying to get others to beilve that. But Have any of you heard of Pascals wager?
What he said was basically, if you belive in god, and he is real, you lived a good live, and if you belive in god, and he's not real, you lost nothing, but lived a life of good morals, which I will touch on in a second. However, If he is real, and you didn't beilve you go to hell. And if you didn't beilve and he isn't real, then you lost nothing, other then being remembered as a person who didn't care about morals.
I would like you to go read the ten commandments, and the other moral wrongs in the bible. How are ANY of them bad?
All I'm really trying to gather here, is what is the point in tryign to prove god as fake? Why does it matter if you beilve in god? And what do you lose by beilveing in him?
The point is when we take a stand, we believe that the stand is right, and that we are better people for having that stand. When we see people in an opposite stand, we try to bring them on our, "better" side. As much as religious people deem atheists as immoral and disrespectful, so do atheists deem religious people as narrow-minded and blind. Both parties feel bad about the other ones, and they try to help them through means of (dis)proving.
Not bad but not trying to disprove God, in fact we can't. I also don't want everyone thinking alike. What we can do is analyze the various claims of what this God has supposedly done and see how those claims compare to the facts. We can also work on improving a persons critical thinking skills to give them the best tools to determine the claims for themselves.
That's not bald! *points* it's a shaved head! I can see the little black dots. Your point is therefore invalid! I refuted your claim--present more evidence or lie in shame with the rest of the closed-minded ninnies!
People should be able to live their lives with out trying to disprove god constantly or trying to convert people constantly!
Thats a nice thought. Sadly the religions of the world do not agree and to some of the more extreme people, we are all deserving of death if we dont agree with them. So... stand up and let your voice be heard.
I like the last two, but do you realize that your first picture is horribly inaccurate? Statistically speaking atheists are far LESS LIKELY than religious people to commit crimes, especially violent ones? Rather interesting given that religious people claim to have an ultimate moral code. But then, I suppose if you follow a deity who likes burnt offerings, human and animal sacrifice, who tortures his followers and murders anyone he doesn't like then I guess it makes sense.
Walker you should know this by now, religion always makes sense. And God has never tortured/killed people, wheres he the most benevolent being there is.
(To those who didn't notice the obvious sarcasm, I was being sarcastic.)
@Walker I choose that one for its particular ridiculousness. I was trying to get a rise out of you guys. I do however realize athiests are merely people who think differently than me. Also I am subliminally converting you all.
Yeah, good luck with the subliminal conversion Oh, and it doesn't get a rise out of me that you posted it, but what does get a rise out of me is that there are many people in the world who follow exactly that type of ignorant reasoning and base their opinions on such blatant dishonesty.
This is why people try to disprove God: Let's say for 1 minute that God exists. Therefore, Satan exists. Satan has been God's enemy for all time. The only way for man to be saved is by belief in God and obeying him. To emotionally injure God, Satan is trying to make sure as few people as possible believe in him, which is why so many people hate God.
