I was thinking of going to Indiana University for my first 4 years. For medical school, I'm going to *try* to get accepted into Northwestern University (also in Indiana). That ones going to be difficult. Heck all you need for IU is an SAT score and a B- average GPA.
Surgery. Of some kind. Idk yet. I don't wanna be some clinical doctor that just sits down and prescribes medicine; I wanna be the guy doing the action that properly helps people.
Be a neuro-surgeon! The pay's ridiculous and you can really, really help people. Wish I had the stomach to do surgery.
lemme tell you, if you decide to become a surgeon, dont goto a lib arts college.... because it isnt as good. rather goto academic universities. also just so you know all boys who graduate from med school the top 3% (the best of the best) become ENS, Orthopedic surgeon, and neuro surgery. because the pay is ridiculous.
for women the top 3% go into dermatology. low work hours and the pay is ridiculous and they get to wear nice clothes for clinics.
Im taking my MCAT junior year in college for med school, hopefully I'll be able to be accepted to johns hopkins medical school.
Amen to that. I like it when two phagocytes try to eat each other rofl
i may not be a senior but i pretty much am going to CSU fort collens. i know its early but im plabnning my stuff out super early i guess
Smart plan. That and taking days off from school to do college visits are things kids need to do so they can figure out before they enter if the college/university is right for them.
went to yale, found out im really good at art, then transferred to Brown and RISD as a part of the dual degree program.
Ivy League *applause* very nice.
**** those are really god lib arts schools.
3.85 GPA (Projected) ACT of 33 and (projected) SAT of 1800. The SAT is a bit low but I think it;s because I took my PSAT a year early.

I was thinking WUSTL if I'm going to go to into medicine although I'm most likely going to study the humanities or social sciences so liberal arts=perfect.

Smoked weed with him once. Good luck though, if not you could always go to OSU they have a sweet med school.
Cause cells are cool.
True story.
Hopefully their GPA standards aren't power hungry. I got really wild grade variations ranging from straight A's to straight F's that'll bring it down.
Eh, public schools usually check extra-curricular a lot. I'm sure you'll be good.

haha no duh. Going into a medical school where the top national surgeons go to perform ridiculously-complex surgeries and teach you beforehand what to do and how to do it is any student's dream.
Story: My Chemistry teacher's niece had head blockage and pain originating from the temporal area. Going into a local clinic, they showed that there was a tumor wrapped around the poor girl's ear and curling around her brain. They immediately went to Northwestern University to have it taken out. From there, a group of surgeons from all across the nation went to perform this surgery that would otherwise leave the standards baffled. They removed the tumor in 4 hours with no complications.
When you have people like that teach you these sorts of things, it makes you want to write down every word they are saying. I mean, it isn't until you take up your residency when you get to see surgeries up close, but learning beforehand is so great.
