It is my opinion that they should be able to do anything that straight people can do. The fact that we are restricting them from getting married reminds me to much of the restrictions we placed upon women and blacks which most people would agree were terrible. I would also like to point out that I am not gay, I just believe in the freedom of the people. Feel free to post the opposing side of this as always.
Even if A child is brought up with same-sex parents - that doesn't mean they won't be around peers at school or in the community who are straight - you seem to perceive homosexual parents as raising homosexual children, which is far from correct.
Although to avoid some pain in the a** Catholics, we shouldn't call in marriage. Call in domestic union, or something along those lines. Same rights and principles, just a different name.
I've got my own objections to homosexuality, but I don't let my personal judgment cloud my field of view. They're people too, why should they be allowed to be lawfully joined and married?

Take penguins for example, if a female dies then a male-male pair tends to form and one looks after the baby chick and teaches it stuff while the other provides food. I see no reason why a homosexual couple of humans couldn't do this.

Seriously, I think I know where WexMajor is coming from, a more traditional type of family background. Where as in America with so many single parent families and mixed families of several step-dads, step-moms, etc. that kids of today have "seen it all". I also agree with Zophia when it comes to peer pressure but Mr.Walker makes a valid point too with saying heterose*ual parents raise homose*ual kids all of the time.
Personally, my dad was married to my mom for more than 25 years but then one summer he just came out of the closet! That was in the early '70's and boy didn't I feel strange. I was only 13 and now my hero was almost a total stranger but kids are resilient and my father was still my dad, that never changed so I got over that and my parents divorce quickly.

That happens. It does in fact happens more often into a one gender parents family. Look closely; not always. Some people are naturally homosexuals; some are naturally eterosexuals; some are bi. The latter can become homosexuals, if the only "arent idea" is same gender parenting. And let me tell you, homosexuals can't help humankind reproduce (just in case you missed this little point).

You are demonstrably wrong. There is absolutely NO evidence to support this claim. However there is quite a bit of evidence showing that the gender preference of parents has NO bearing on the gender preference of the child.
Here in Canada we allow homosexual marriage. I believe that it should be legal worldwide. People have a right to be free. Doesn't the U.S Constitution say that All men are created equal?
