It is my opinion that they should be able to do anything that straight people can do. The fact that we are restricting them from getting married reminds me to much of the restrictions we placed upon women and blacks which most people would agree were terrible. I would also like to point out that I am not gay, I just believe in the freedom of the people. Feel free to post the opposing side of this as always.
Nice to see everyone getting along and not squabbling amongst each other for sentimental gain for once.
Back to the topic, *AHEM*, of course homosexuals should be able to get married, there's no debate to be had about this. Is there something wrong with that?
Say, for example, there was a guy with a large nose, and he was only attracted to people with big noses. Sure, it doesn't make sense to you and me, but to him, it's just the way he is. He can't help it, it's not evil or wrong in any way, so why should the inflated egos of a group of self-important idiots get in his way?
Say a gay couple out there somewhere believes that heterosexual (straight) couples shouldn't be able to get married because they're "icky". Are you going to let them vote on that? No! Then you realize that they're using the same logic as those retards out there.
Oops, I meant people who repeat "god hates fags!". You can probably tell what that says, ya know, the derogatory term for gays that starts with an F *hint**hint*.
I totally agree. Honestly if there were a god out there watching us I would tend to think that he would hate bigots long before he ever had any derogatory thoughts about people due to their sexual preference.
Duh - it's a free country! People could be anything they like, as long as they don't hurt the society around them (hey, maybe I could create a new religion with this idealism!).

Oh christ, the last thing we need is another religion.
It's dumb that married couples get so many financial breaks simply because they're married. Marriage should be strictly religious, because it doesn't automatically make you a better driver (auto insurance discounts).
There are many reasons for the financial breaks for married couples. Many believe that it lends stability, as married couples typically are buying houses and taking on other large financial burdens so companies assume that they will be making many payments. This allows those companies to decrease interest rates and still make their money.
In the case of insurance companies most married couples have multiple cars, as well as homes. By offering small discounts that company is now insuring multiple vehicles and a home as opposed to simply one vehicle.
There are numerous other reasons for the financial discounts, and while they may not always make sense, they are designed to actually make companies more money in the long run by offering small or short term benefits.

Congrats glad to have an opinion that has little thought behind it. Marriage shouldn't simply be for a religious purpose, I think that would defeat the point of our modern society. I won't touch the financial stuff, that's been covered.
