Should I tell my parents that I am gay. I am going to tell them eventually but should I tell them sooner? And should I tell the guy that I like that I am gay? Or do you think that if I told him it would scare him away?

What if he's more like Zoph? More attracted to the same sex than he is to the opposite sex.
Something like this is not the easiest thing in the world to do. I believe without sounding sexiest here from being around females, they have an easier time telling their parents they are bisexual/lesbian.
As for a male, more men find it harder, but if i'm not mistaken that is down to our hormones and testosterone level, included in that is pride for being a male, and the countless years of peer pressure at school where people would call you Gay as an insult, and you see it as being a negative route to take.
In anycase, your parents will (should) support you with your decisions in life, if you like a guy over a girl fair play, it's not there decision to make and they should not judge you.
Take your time in telling them.
As for the other guy, honestly take that route first, i know people who have gone through a stage where they believe they are gay, they tell there parents, they tell the world, they finally date a guy, and get put off straight away, i guess it is something some people are wanting to explore.
Just tread carefully in your decisions, not that anyone will judge you but i think the worst thing is to tell people your gay, and then to find out you don't want to be gay, in a school environment it could cause problems somewhat.

I agree with that statement, but it's all a matter of opinion. It has no factual background to it, so you can't really just convince someone that their attractions are incorrect.

As for the Noah or whatever problem... I don't know how close friends you are, but in all honesty, I would be very uncomfortable around a guy who had a crush on me if I knew for a fact. I wouldn't tell him unless you two are the closest friends in the world or you know he's gay as well.
