it has come to my attention that this nation (america) is dividing, very quickly. could there be a way to stop it, or are we so determined to change everyone into unthinking machines, that there will be a second civil war? i want some different views on the causes of this, and possible solutions to the division. people from other countries are encouraged to jump in, it might be helpful to get some insight from people whos culture is several hundreds, even thousands of years older than ours.

My only question: When do I get to shoot at them?

Civil War seems like an interesting prospect. I hope it comes along, to be totally honest. I need a waste of time to throw my life away at.

It's not going to happen. Americans, being the wussies we are, won't do anything. Americans are nothing like what we once were. I'm quite ashamed to say I'm not willing to fight against them, at least not alone.

If anyone was to fight the government, they need no less than 10 million willing to fight with them. Remember: They have airstrikes, we don't.

A civilian uprising would be crushed, and fairly fast, unless it's so big and so sudden it just takes the government by surprise. They're slow, so by sudden I mean about a year.

Actually, at 16 and nothing to live for, i wouldnt hesitate to sign up.

True. Were losing senses we once had. Funny how we have a right to bear arms, but a large number of people dont even own a pellet gun. A rebellion would call for large arms supplies.

Shays rebellion is a fairly good example of a small rebellion.

it would take a large amount of panic, such as a severe depression, messing with rights and voting, etc.

That's the issue.

A large scale rebellion would have the third largest military on the planet over it in days, assuming the government doesn't trip over its own red tape.

Shooting at feds sounds like fun.

I know some people who have arsenals. For all the people who don't have guns, somebody somewhere has a gun for them. xD

Say if America was to go into another civil war, imagine the amount of more debt that they would rack up. America would be far worse off then before the war.

Yea there are some people that have arsenals...then there are people who have nothing at all, mainly depending on where you live, beacause people mainly keep guns for hunting, like my uncle that owns 50+ guns and bows and all that stuff just for hunting. But if there was a civil war, due to the fact that all there air strikes and feds and everything are americans to, they would not be as strong as they are now.Though it would probably not happen.

There's no need for dwelling on such issues as only a few things are likely to happen:

1.) A sensible leader is going to sneak his way into power and bring changes that will be either beneficial to those that complain, which will make the people that had no complaints so far start complaining, or bring changes that actually benefit the nation as a whole, which means very few people will notice it.
2.) The world will keep spinning as it is with no change in sight.
3.) Some sort of disaster will wipe out most of the Earth's population, and we'll forget about everything and just struggle to survive.
4.) The Earth will grow overpopulated and wars for resources will break out. It will only result in lowering the global population, thus temporarily solving the problem (at great cost). An alternative to this is colonizing Mars, but with the current state of space research it's highly unlikely.

So just sit back, do whatever that you do to make yourself feel alive, try to bring small improvements to life in general, learn to enjoy the good things you have (for you didn't have to have them) and wait for the upcoming apocalypse. At that point, none of this will matter.

Next apocalypse? What was the first? Of course, you could mean either Holocaust (there were two), the current mass genocides, poverty, starvation, and slavery in Africa, the economy, and/or Sarah Palin. Yeah, I see your point now, Fluid

I said upcoming.

Adj. 1. upcoming - of the relatively near future
Occurring soon; forthcoming.

Though I admit, Sarah Palin is pretty apocalyptic

Pretty apocalypticly hawt

That seems like really far off into the future.

im back, and glad to see that people are actually realizing that the america we live in, isn't the america it was. i too have been growing my arsenal, mostly shotguns, and hunting rifles, im a big hunter, and trapshooter. but i always collected shotguns incase of zombie attacks. it would be a shame to waste good zombie ammo on a bunch of liberals.
