it has come to my attention that this nation (america) is dividing, very quickly. could there be a way to stop it, or are we so determined to change everyone into unthinking machines, that there will be a second civil war? i want some different views on the causes of this, and possible solutions to the division. people from other countries are encouraged to jump in, it might be helpful to get some insight from people whos culture is several hundreds, even thousands of years older than ours.
men killing the earth FTW. i just hope that aliens attack, then we can band togethor as a planet, not just a nation, as it says, the enemy of my enemy is my friend

If aliens ever reached us we would have absolutely no chance of defeating them, none. In order to travel the massive expanses of space their technology would have to be millenia ahead of ours, our only hope would be that they were a peaceful species.
Banding together isn't that big of a deal, separation equals a greater variety of ideals.
yes i can see your point, but wouldnt it be better if we could all just accept all ideas? i mean why do we need a nation with so many parties, why do we need a world with so many governments, its too bad that a utopian society couldnt exist. just a shame. still i think america needs to start helping more, and hurting less, then maybe everyone wouldnt hate us. like why worry about a group of extremists, why havent we applied the same will and manpower to the flooding situation, seems like our priorities are a little "CRUDER".
Not to unnecessarily snap at me like you did and do, but I want you to think about what you just said.

Really, care to back that up?
Both World Wars, the economy, charities and superstars
Heck, even in the Bible. Many examples are in there
Diversity is great, but wouldn't you rather be on terms and/or at peace with someone, rather than be at war? "Living" is more important than "Life". Living, as in obviously Living. Life can include social life, diversity, friends, dance, and a whole assortment of things. But living is more important than that.
Many teenagers and young adults do not understand that "LIVING will go on beyond high school LIFE.
Understand that "Living" and "Life" are two VERY different things
I haven't been here in a while. Halo, I think it's pretty much bogus. If you can change my mind I'll give you a cookie. By the way 31,000 scientists think different. Sorry if I derail the thread.
