I was just wondering what everyone else's opinion is. Is it right for the new modern government and certain groups to try and remove God out of things like school, monuments, the pledge of allegiance, etc.?

Well im do have a slight biased, so im not going to bring up the point of religion. If we do it though, thats just going to create problems. Know that majority of republicans, ( idk about demos, 5-10% maybe but idk) are Cristian, and that will cause division in our country. I dont see the point in doing so, how many people refered to the pledge in a religios argument anyway. its like saying lets yahoo it. doesnt happen very often.
Btw google ftw

We3 shall not remove religion from America. Religion is what found our country. Puritans wanted freedom of Religion, so they settled in the colonies.

Contradicted your own point in two sentences. America is based on the freedom of religion not religion itself.

So yes it's right, secularization isn't bad.

but the founders when it was turned into a country specifically to make sure church and state will be separated so that the corruption (YES IT IS CORRUPTED) of church won't leak too much into the government

Religion is NOT what founded the country... Sure, a few people came to the aria to escape religion persecution, but some also came for other reasons, such as poverty, legal persecution, etc. Saying this country was founded by religion you would also have to say it was founded by poverty, legal persecution, etc, witch sound almost as bad...

but atheism isnt a religion..... so they don't have that freedom. there isnt one that says freedom to have no belief or something.

*Head desk* freedom of religion includes freedom from religion.

Planning on it, most likely I'll end up in Canada or England. Maybe China if my understanding of the language increases massively, not to bad with the romance languages either.

The country, by the way, was founded on the belief that man should be free.

yes yes, but then the lawyers got involved, now i can't carry around my pistol without paying for a concealed weapons permit, or shoot my guns off without the police making a mandatory report, or beat the hell out of a whiney goth kid without spending the night in jail.

Notice that the pursuit of life is placed before the pursuit of liberty, in carrying a weapon and recklessly discharging it you could injure others. I'm for gun ownership but regulations are needed.
