In my school everyone makes fun of jews i was wondering if that was just my school or if it is other places and also why do people make fun of jews so much?

I had an algebra teacher that was born Jewish and later converted to Christianity. He also taught a mixed martial arts class after school 3 days a week. His curly hair and large nose (I'm not being racist, most Jews look like that) gave it away when I first met him, but no one else knew until he told all of us on the last day of instruction. Most of his family was killed during the Holocaust.
