-WII started by affect of many historical battles and events, WWII was just a continued battle of WWI.
And I said some things about the WWII in that Hitler thread.

Anybody could have given that obvious answer...

Me neither. I never meet or saw any. Well I probably did see a couple but didn't know that they were Jews.

-Well I guess that 23 million people is a small amount of peoples lives for you, they were dying to free this world of Nazis and now I dont see that they are respected now, I respect them very much.

This thread isn't about them. And just because other people died doesn't mean that the Jews didn't have it bad and that they should not get respect. Remember, they were not the Jews from Isrial! There is no country called Jewishial that the Nazi's attacked that could have declared war! They were innocent people.

So if you are ever murdered in a super market or at home. I guess no one should feel bad because you were not killed fighting as a soldier in a war?

Proportionately the Russians only lost 2.8% of their population.

Actually, Russia lost about 13%

Did I ever say I didn't respect them? In fact, I think you'll find I said they should be respected more. The point I was making was that you claim the Soviets suffered more than the Jews, when numerically it is not a valid comparison as there were only 11 million Jews in Europe at the time, yet there were over 160 million Russians, skewing your scale of 'suffering' based on number of deaths.

Number of victims is not necessarily an accurate figure of who suffered most. Proportionately the Russians only lost 2.8% of their population. Over 50% of European Jews were killed.

Cold War politics did have an effect on how highly we in the West value the contribution of the Soviets during the war. However this does not mean the suffering of the Jews should be belittled, just that more credit and respect should be given to the Soviets.

I say nothing, FireFly already gave you the answer.

Looking at my previous post, 22 million to 160 million total population doesn't add up, I guess mine was an unreliable source, however my point still stands: The Jewish population of 11 million was reduced by (roughly) 6 million during WW2. The seemingly high Russian losses are put into perspective by the enormous Russian population, so as a group, the Jews did suffer more.

Sorry taht this might have not have anything to do with what you are talking about now. but Jews should not be disrespected because they are God's chosen people and they people he delivered from isreal. If you have ever read teh book the Hiding Place Corrie ten Boon's father Said when The germans attacked the Jews he said. "I'm sorry for them because they have touched the apple of God's eye". Jews are very important in the bible we shouldn't make fum of them I would happily give my life for one. God loves them and so do I.

Paintballer, are you by chance, jewish? Or do you just know a lot of them? Besides, we wouldn't have Christianity or Islam without them. A) They were the first monotheistic religion and B) Jesus was jewish.

@ GAGAMEN, if you should happen to read this, which you probably wouldn't, but just in case:

If you want to make a big deal out of the victimhood of your own people, the best course of action would be to pick up the hint NoName gave you and create a separate thread about it. Not discuss it in a thread not relevant to it.

This being said it would get a little tiresome if we had to deal with threads on the Greek genocide, the Armenian genocide, the Polish genocide, the Aboriginal genocide, the dozen or so African genocides on top of threads about Atheist bashers, Christian bashers, people being racist against blacks, people being racist against whites, people being racist against Asians, people being racist against Arabs and Hispanics and Indians...people disciminating against gay people, straight people, bisexual people, fetishists, pedophiles, necrophiliacs, zoophiles, coprophiles, cannibals...

Are you starting to see a pattern here? I hope so, because I'm really starting to run out of 'minority groups' here. Just don't all volunteer at once, it happens the world around so man up and talk about it maturely.

kthnx.

Jews were born to make normal people feel comfortable with themselves.

...that's a borderline remark.

As in that's a borderline "I might have to ban you for that" remark.

Lemme get back to you on that one.

I'm sorry but I'm with strop on that one. That is a very ignorant thing to say. Actually, come over to America and join the IKA while your at it.

people being racist against Asians

I don't understand why... why against Judaism? Or is it not the religion itself, but the
ignorant generalization of the people that follow the religion? Not all of them are the same,
if they actually get that....
