Why do governments feel the need to make drugs illegal? If anything, it causes a lot more problems than there were before. If they were legalized, there would not be nearly as many violent actions over getting them since the prices would not be nearly as high. There would not been as many people over doing it with drugs, since it would eventually just become a normal thing in day-to-day life.
Hey, I would like to pint out that they tried (are trying) legalizing drugs in Amsterdam, and the crime rat ethere has gone through the roof.
Making it legal won't reduce crime rate. It'll just make crime easier (btw, isn't it kind of point-out-the-obviousy to say that making something legal will lead to less crime, since now there's one less law to break).
Oh, and drugs like marijuana and heroin are counterproductive to society, and they lead to social chaos.

Ya right, give us some proof

Maybe I exaggerated (I heard it said like that somewhere) but the rat is still second-highest in country.
Explain
Evidence has been found that marijuana (I assume we're talking about marijuana...all the negative side-effects of other drugs are pretty evident) can cause an inhibition between thought and action--essentially, it chemically leads to procrastination. A society full of lazy procrastinators, while fun to be in, is not going anywhere.
Also, marijuana is a carcinogen. That's just an added thing, not the main argument, because cigarettes are legal carcinogens. Still--carcinogen = bad (for those who don't know, the definition of carcinogen is something that causes cancer).
Medical marijuana is a different matter -- that is an example of marijuana being used, not abused. Marijuana abuse is bad for society, and that is why it should remain illegal.
Sorry for my typos earlier...I'm normally good about those : )
why? because making drugs illegal first of all removes the supply of that drugs. That would shoot up the price of drugs, due to the fact that they are illegal.
If the government legalized drugs, the government could tax this merchandise, like the cigarette industry.
I am talking about marijuana and other soft drugs, hard drugs like cocaine should still be illegal, because the hard drugs have the possibility to kill from an overdose. While pot and LSD will have the possibility outright killing the user.
So, moar money, and less money for drug cartels and drug financed crime.
They dont make it legal because drugs like P make people get so crazy they start to kill people
In New Zealand like all the crimes you see is enhanced by the Drug P - that's why they DONT legalise Drugs unless you want to have a 60% more chance to be assualted on the street.
Marijuana makeing people lazy? The people who smoke marijuana and are burnouts tend to be lazy anyway. Someone who smokes weed and loses their job would have lost the job if they did not smoke weed anyway. If you are high, you may feel lazy, but you don't become lazy otherwise. I take it that nobody watched my google video link on page 35.

WRONG. There are almost no crimes related to marijuana use! There are many related to distributing marijuana and selling it, but almost none related to people smoking it then becoming violent! You are absolutely wrong with that one. That is a huge myth about marijuana.

please research the topics before you spout useless banter.
Amsterdam has legalized pot, it's fine. Like Noname said, there are little marijuana related crimes.
You must be talking about hard drugs, thats why I only said legalize soft drugs.
