Why do governments feel the need to make drugs illegal? If anything, it causes a lot more problems than there were before. If they were legalized, there would not be nearly as many violent actions over getting them since the prices would not be nearly as high. There would not been as many people over doing it with drugs, since it would eventually just become a normal thing in day-to-day life.
Weed is bad for you. Your lungs get fucked if you smoke to much. Granted you stop smoking for a month and you are perfectly fine again but it's still not good for you. Now that that's said, it's not even close to being as bad as tobacco. Weed kills cells, cells regenerate, except for brain cells, which weed doesn't kill. Tobacco messes with your chromosomes, which do NOT come back. And alcohol messes with brain cells, which as I said don't come back. Weed hasn't killed anyone in the past recorded 3000 years, and helps types of cancer and glaucoma.
Weed is not half as bad as anything that people smoke all day long, be it cigars or tobacco. It should be legal, and let people decide for themselves. And it's not a drug, it's a plant.
Correction: it's a myth that specific scientific data was collected accurately when the sample selection was PROBABLY skewed.
Correction: its a myth that dumbasses like you believe.
And no, I do not research marijuana. I am not a scientist with a grant and a laboratory. Are you?
You're a moron. Its pretty easy to look up the facts and actually check the source. And, just so you know, Reefer Madness isn't a good source.
Many, not all stoners, but MANY, prefer stronger strains. And many growers cater to these needs.
Yeah. Having a plant that gives 30% THC and another that gives 30% THC doesn't make 60% THC. It makes, roughly, 30% THC. It hasn't been getting higher.
I have spent a lot of time around producers, distributors, and consumers of pot.
Good for you. I actually AM a consumer, and I spend alot of time with other consumers who also produce and distribute.
Almost without exception, their main concern was getting high, and the nature of said high. Health concerns are almost always limited to the "but it's natural and not bad for you" rhetoric that helps people feel justified in their indulgent habits. Whatever. Some people can wreck themselves on any substance. I don't need "research" to explain a friend wasting away in a fashion that just wasn't happening before they started to smoke so much.
Yeah. Thats because you hang out with morons who don't know shit.

^Fully honest. Since it does so little, I call that nothing. Very little ~=~ nothing. (And the ~ is like the estimation. I don't have the estimation equal sign, so thats what I'll use. Because I can.)

Plants can still = drug. Cocaine is a plant, and a drug.

I wouldn't call it a drug ever because then people do exactly that and start thinking marijuana and cocaine are the same thing cause they are drugs. Marijuana is just a plant that if accidentally lit on fire, you are subject to some side effects, which are fewer and more harmless than those you find on the side of your Tylenol bottle, which include severe liver damage and stomach bleeding with alcohol. I am telling you right now you won't be bleeding from your stomach with weed.
Cocaine base is made from a plant but yet they mix gasoline,a ton of amonia, and a ton of other hazordous chemicals just so it turns into powder. DOn't belevie me I posted a thread about this somewhere.
Crystal, I'm here to exchange thoughts and ideas with reasoned people with a little respect and maturity. That apparently rules you out. Good day.
That basically means you admit that I'm right. Thanks for understanding.
That is only some of the pot heads. Most people if they knew it was legal wouldn't use it as much.
Wow. You realize that weed isn't habit forming, at all? Its as addictive as pie. You don't keep doing it cause you're addicted, you keep doing it because its fucking awesome.

I don't classify something as a drug or not whether or not its bad for you. Its just like, what the fuck does it do? It gets you high, low, trippin, kills pain, etc... Medicine is a drug, but if its used right, it can be somewhat safe... Although, usually theres something going wrong.

The plant is still the most important part, the part that actually gets you high. Which means the plant is the drug.
Ok well drugs are bad for you so thats why they don't leaglize them. Normal medicine type drugs are ok but if you have to mch then they are just like any other drug illegal drug. Most drugs affect on you right away but have a 'long-term' effect, but other affect yo right away but have a 'short-term' effect. So I would advise not to legalize them. Even if they did there are still other ways to get drugs. 'Over the counter' drugs can be turned into bad drugs like Cocaine, Ice, or any other drug that most people may not know about.

You are aware that no legal medicine in the world has less side affects than marijuana, and no other substance in the universe that is known helps more problems than marijuana, right?

Klaus, while I don't think the absolute nature of your statement is true (for instance, how does marijuana stack up against garlic or aloe vera? do we even know?), I agree with the sentiment that especially medical marijuana is safer than many Western medicines and a preferable treatment to much of what is available.
However, last I checked it's very difficult to get solid clinic trials in peer reviewed journals because it's so difficult for scientists to get funding - unless, of course, it's to explore the *dangers* of pot.
I'm still skeptical about recreational users actually benefiting from their habit. Solace is taken in the fact that pot's most assuredly the least harmful substance one can enjoy, but people don't pick up the habit to increase their health per se. No one is monitoring their dosages, or their ratio of thc to cbd, or keeping track of how it impacts their health. They're hanging out with their friends and getting high. Which is great - have a grand time!
Well, not all drugs are illegal. Some drugs don't need a prescription, so what your saying is why are all drugs illegal. Which is not true. And we legalized all drugs, the world would be a hell hole. Simple as that.
you know weed should be legal withoght thinking, it dosent cause any medical problems, it helps with medical problems, aparantly its goooood lol.theres another thing ive heard about weed being illegal cuz it kills others while driving, witch ive never read or heard a single case of.
i have one thing too say that iritates me, people always say they are bad for you thats why we dont let you have them, like im some kid who cant make my own choices(those of you who know my age shut it). and they dont respect peoples own intelligence too not put harmfull drugs in there bodys,
i forget who said this but if they are legal alot of deaths would stop from actual reputable dealers selling them instead of these drug dealers who get contaminated drugs that kill.

A dealer up in Portland ended up killing some kids by mixing in rat poison with his drugs.
