Why do governments feel the need to make drugs illegal? If anything, it causes a lot more problems than there were before. If they were legalized, there would not be nearly as many violent actions over getting them since the prices would not be nearly as high. There would not been as many people over doing it with drugs, since it would eventually just become a normal thing in day-to-day life.
*Goes to dvd collection to see what the reply from the black guy was*
How where's your proof it's not like nicotine correct put yet after a time it's addictive to your brain because you keep on having it...
Alrighty, It has been proven in previous topics but I guess I always have to do it again and again for you people.
Now I did make a small mis-step earier. Marijuana is not physically addictive, you will experience absolutely no physical side affects from stopping usage, unlike hard drugs. But it is habit forming, which means if you do it once you are likely to do it again. But it is less habit fomring than caffeine. So you can't tell me thats any reason to not legalize it.
In the Netherlands, the national drug policy officially has four major objectives:
* To prevent drug use and to treat and rehabilitate drug users. * To reduce harm to users. * To diminish public nuisance by drug users (the disturbance of public order and safety in the neighborhood). * To combat the production and trafficking of drugs
The Netherlands did not just legalized marijuana and the problem was solved in a magical way, magic does not exist. You have to work hard to fix something and to make society improve.
weed has strong evidence of a schizophrenia related reaction
it is not a taken as a solid or liquid so say, you are out with someone who got drunk. you didn't get drunk off of being near him. with weed (since it's a gas) you do get 2nd hand smoke.
weed is a depressant. when you smoke it your endorphines (happy hormones) get a bit overused and afterwords you experience some sort of depression due to not having as many endorphines as you normally do.

Who ever said we didn't want to work hard? We would love to to work hard. You make it sounds as though we expect this to be a magic quick fix. We aren't stupid, but you seem to assume we are.

How many times do I have to say it? V-A-P-O-R-I-Z-E-R, stop using one method of using the drug as your sole argument. And who said anything about making weed legal everywhere? I do believe in place sit is legal, it is restricted to specific businesses that are licensed for it. No one would be there unless they were ok with breathing in that second hand smoke.

So? Your point? You obviously don't understand what you've read.
1) Alcohol is a depressant as well. It is legal. 2) Just because a drug is a depressant, does not link it in any way to long term depression. It is temporary.
the problem with alcohol was the majority of the populace had become accustomed to it before it was attempted to outlaw it.
People can make life altering decisions while drunk.
do you always point out the obvious in your arguments?
Just skimmed through the past few pages,
look at page 68, count how many posts are talking about weed /10
The DEA is losing
i have an idea, let's all eat junk food, sleep in everyday, and sit on our couches all day without work or school just because it feels good. that is counter-productive. some may choose that lifestyle, is it really good for them to be that unhealthy? smoking weed is (in some ways) similar to cutting your wrists. you are causing harm to yourself for a desired output. the DEA may be losing, but it's more the people are losing.

Thats the thing. I think I point being made is that there is a drug that has similar effects as marijuana that is LEGAL not only legal but excepted and encouraged, at least were i live.(from my personal experience and opinion it is worse because my step dad almost burned down our house because he was drinking and cooking something and then passed out, ive never seen someone pass out and almost burn down the house because they were smoking pot) Drunk fuckers pass out or beat people up and trash their own house when they get angry, pothead just sit on the couch. Oh or they (Drunk fuckers) break into somones house because they thought it was theirs and end up peeing on the couch because they thought it was the bathroom and then pass out, potheads just stay at home and eat Tostitos and Orange Juice watching reruns of M*A*S*H on TV Land.
And to think the drug that makes it so you dont even know your breaking into some elses house is legal while the one that makes you think M*A*S*H is funny is illegal. Ok im done know i just hate drunk fuckers and people who drink so that was just a rant.
